But in terms of the shifter itself, I know at least with me as anal retentive as I am, if I have it there and the pattern on the knob doesn't match the pattern on the tranny, it will bug me. lol :icon17: |
I hear ya, i think the red start is great in a 40th or like you said with other red bits. I'm the only one who ever drives my car and the pattern wouldn't matter to me. No one around here gives a crap about the Z enough to even notice that the pattern is different. If there is a JDM shifter around and i have the money i'll go with that, but it's not a deal breaker for me. To each their own....

Props for taking the plunge!
I was thinking of ways to lower the knob when I replaced mine and thought about just cutting the metal shaft a bit but there are a few things to consider. You still need to be able to use the pin to secure the knob, and the white inner piece needs to still fit and have enough travel to change gears. Aesthetically, The GT-R knob definitely needs to sit lower, especially since it has a flat bottom portion that isn't tapered like the Z. |

That's why the shifter would go well with a nice leather/suede boot.

You have other red bits, so the red start should look good. Stock Z's do not have any red. At least mine doesn't have any red. |
No thank you.

Not bad. A nice option for the 7AT owners.

Hmm lets just stop at GTR start ignition :ugh2:

Would be much better if you would lower it, right now it sits too high and looks awkward.
Hell, this probably works on my car! |
Lower it or a nice leather/suede shift boot and it would be very nice.
