3 Attachment(s)
Well we have a few concept pictures of what we plan on making this summer. Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments.

We borrowed a few pictures to make the concept illustrations... if the owners or publications have a problem with us using the pictures please let me know via PM and we will work out something out.

so without further anticipation:

Front Bumper:
-We have increased the front bumper side intakes (making them functional)
-We have added GTR inspired Center section

Side Skirts:
-New Organic look (a little something different)

Rear Bumper:
-Functional diffuser
-Lower ground clearance for the bumper
-Wider Side vents (similar to veilside version 3)
-Option for custom exhaust through Bumper vents

:hello:

Alto101 06-27-2011 08:59 PM

I love it!!! Any ideas what price range this is going to fall in?

bullitt5897 06-27-2011 09:02 PM

We are still working that out. But it should be similar to our replica kit pricing.

Oh looks good! Interested to see how it turns out!

XwChriswX 06-27-2011 09:07 PM

Based on the pics, is this kit going to be based off of the Amuse, so 'Amuse with larger vents and GT-R styled Center' or is that just the kit you're using as a base?

bullitt5897 06-27-2011 09:12 PM

We will be making a new kit from one of our reps... This is a concept and we are starting on the kit starting july 1st so we decided to post up and see what everyone thought... likes and dislikes. This will help us bring you guys the products you want.

Mike

bullitt5897 06-27-2011 09:12 PM

If there is enough interest we will mass produce the kit in frp and CF!!! Also at a decent Price!!!

Some might disagree with what I think, but here's my :twocents:

1. If you do happen to use the Amuse as a rough base, can you not make it extend the overall length of the car. That's the biggest downside to the Amuse to me.

2. I do understand trying to bring in some influence from big brother GT-R but honestly, after seeing the GReddy kit, the GT-R front just doesn't look right on a Z...

3. Are you planning to make this at stock width or would you look into doing a widebody?

Da.Menace 06-27-2011 09:23 PM

IMO...

Front Bumper:
-We have increased the front bumper side intakes (making them functional)
 -We have added GTR inspired Center section

Side Skirts:
-New Organic look (a little something different)

Rear Bumper:
-Functional diffuser
-Lower ground clearance for the bumper
-Wider Side vents (similar to veilside version 3)

bullitt5897 06-27-2011 09:23 PM

Thanks for your input chris!

-It will be based off similar dimensions as the amuse rep.

-although the kit does have some big brother resemblence... There is a reason for it... It's for our FI brothers and sisters :) we are using that duct to funnel air over the intercooler and into the radiator. Some may not like it but it's functional.

-this is stock width and we have already started on our new 25mm widebody fenders which will be compatible with all our kits!

I do not like the Amuse body kit

I do not like it with an increased the front bumper side intakes (making them functional)
I do not like it with an added GTR inspired Center section
I do not like it with a Functional diffuser
I do not like it with a Lower ground clearance for the bumper
I do not like it with Wider Side vents (similar to veilside version 3)
I do not like it with an Option for custom exhaust through Bumper vents

I do not like the amuse body kit, Sam I am!

younter 06-27-2011 09:43 PM

Very interesting for the side skirts

GTR style front bumper? not my type

You sure put allot of time into that post. Forget the Amuse kit when you can have "premium floor mats" or "Stillen License Plate Bracket" right?

phelan 06-27-2011 09:56 PM

eww - front and side skirts.

WHY do we need to be inspired by the GT-R??? bloody hell, it's a brilliant machine, but it's NOT pretty. the lines don't flow at all. the addition of the vent and the bigger side vents makes it look busy.

side skirts - ....okay, not my style. again, it's busy. functional? okay, sure. but not for me.

rear - it's an amuse rear with a bigger vent. okay...

Cmike2780 06-27-2011 10:11 PM

Not cause any trouble and with all due respect, I really wish you guys would develop your own kit in-house. From what I've seen, you guys have the talent and know how to make something truly unique. You already have a following in this community, give us something we haven't seen before.

Juruki 06-27-2011 10:17 PM

If I had the money I would choose the regular Amuse kit over this version any day.

bullitt5897 06-27-2011 10:32 PM

Thanks for all the input guys.

We already have another kit of our own design in the works...

we are trying to address the request over the past year for something different and since people were requesting a GTR inspired body kit already we decided to tone down the GTR inspiration and put in a functional vent using a similar design. The sideskirts are definitely different and I know they will look great in person. The rear bumper is taller in design to address a few critiques we had with the original amuse design. We made it taller and added a functional rear diffuser.

Some may not like this kit and some will. We liked the concept of the amuse bumper but feel it needed added functionality. Please keep your comments coming this will better help us critique our designs and better understand what the public wants. Please keep it constructive and as cute as the Dr Seuss post was its not needed.

thank guys,

Mike

phelan 06-27-2011 10:53 PM

"The sideskirts are definitely different and I know they will look great in person".

I reserve right to judge after I see close-ups of the real thing, but really? Where else do you see those lines on the car, Mike? They don't flow at all, now the side looks like it has mini-gills on it. If you want to vent it, keep it simple. Tri-vents can be kept on the hood, but should have no business anywhere else on the car.

I have to agree with cmike on this one, why bother with the amuse kit anymore? You and Drew have enough ideas to build your own design, why don't you focus your efforts and get that one on the market? That would be way more refreshing than "oh look modded amuse."

Notice I took out the side skirts? I do like those, maybe with the Fujimura front bumper.

Niceeeeeeeeee dude!

Apoc370z 06-27-2011 11:36 PM

I think i 'kinda' know why people are being negative on this.

to me:

The amuse kit is a great kit, probably one of the best out there. Problem is, its so great that it is pretty common so people tend to get tired of looking at it.

I like the idea of function > looks and i am a big fan of the Amuse kit, but i think people are desperate to see new designs.

wont judge this until i see the final product. Keep it up UAM!

btw, i am in SoCal too, where is your shop located at?

quagmire87 06-27-2011 11:39 PM

+1 on the sidekirts! Ill jump on them if you guys do make them!

kevin.z 06-28-2011 12:13 AM

No GTR front lol. Dont try to copy lol

The big thing is function over form.

cheshirecat 06-28-2011 06:11 AM

Very interesting- it'll look really good in the two-toned scheme.

I don't think many people will go for it, though (no matter how good it looks) because of being afraid of being thought of as a "Wannabe gtr" with that front end. :(

bullitt5897 06-28-2011 02:20 PM

The whole we dont want to be GTRs is funny to me. Cause to me this doesnt even look remotely like a GTR! yes it has one design cue from the front bumper but that is it... We hope to have a prototype ready soon! we are already getting everything ready to start on it.

Mike

phelan 06-28-2011 02:50 PM

Then why do you call it GTR inspired? And the mid-section of the front bumper screams "I'M A GTR" to me.

The G35s couldn't rock it nicely, I am not sold that we can either.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...XL._SS400_.jpg

Anyway, you put this thread up for thoughts / opinions. I've said my piece. Let's see the prototype and I'll reconsider then.

bullitt5897 06-28-2011 02:58 PM

It's inspired by the function of the gtr center section... This is diverting air over the intercooler for FI vehicles. This was a clean way of modifying the design.

Do not expect a gtr replica bumper design this design will be smooth and the inlet won't be huge and gaudy like many of the gtr bumper look a likes. The inlet will stay narrow and focused not tall like the gtr bumper calls for. Also we will be cleaning up some of the lines on the front bumper like eliminating the front bumper side strake accents... Simplifying the design is our main goal.

If you want to modify the amuse keep the lines of it.
Wider front vents - Works especially if functional
Front opening (GTR or whatever inspired) - Lose it, just looks tacked on and worthless

Side skirts - rear half looks ok but lose the 3 vents on the front

Rear bumper - looks exactly the same from the pictures, will have to wait till better pictures are produced.

phelan 06-28-2011 03:57 PM

Simplifying the front...strake? What's that?

RCZ 06-28-2011 04:33 PM

Come on...you're saying youre making a completely new kit and you come up with an Amuse kit with bigger openings?

Why not make something a little more original, you guys have shown you have the creativity and the ability with previous projects, why limit yourself to this?

Look to JGTC and Lemans for inspiration and you will never go wrong :)

bigaudiofanat 06-28-2011 04:41 PM

Id hit it

Lemers 06-28-2011 04:52 PM

You'd hit anything

Now about kits. Take a look at the new Abflug front bumper on the GTR. I like it a think a version of it would work on the Z. And it wouldn't be the same as a GTR clone kit for the Z.

UAM should design and produce a completely original body kit and then have Powerhouse Amuse sell replicas of it.

SPOHN 06-28-2011 06:40 PM

Damn Mike I need to call you. I cannot get a good brake from work to settle for play time. Trying to keep power on with all these small storm were having. Hope to escape tonight.

Front clip: Like it. Would buy
Sides: I do like but I really want something more squared look. Varis style.
Rear: No doubt sexy.

I'm planning on something first of the year. So this will give me time to really decided.

We have two kits coming out this year... this one and a JGTC styled kit...
