Here is an updated look for the front... Smoothed the accents out a little.

The Dimer 06-28-2011 07:56 PM

When I look at the concept photos there are a few things I notice.

1. The rear: looks identical to the standard amuse rear, which I am a fan of.
2. The sides: I think the side skirts flow pretty well with the all the vents in the front and rear bumpers and if they could be made functional (e.g. break ducting) that would be even better.
3. The front: I don't dislike it because it looks like you're trying to make the Z look like a GTR, I can appreciate the desire for functional air flow. I dislike it because the center section just doesn't fit with the amuse front bumper. The amuse front is very sleek and the GTR center section is bulky. I'd try to make it blend in better so it doesn't look so out of place.

I realize these are just concept photos and the final product may look different, but after reading through the rest of the thread it seems like you are taking the comments people are offering and saying, "You guys don't know what you like, this is what we're going to make." So use the suggestions you are getting to improve the look and put out the best kit you can.

The Rear is the same with design with a few tweaks...
- Side vents are larger
- Center duct shelf is about 2"~3" lower to allow for a custom exhaust
- Rear Diffuser is added
- The whole bumper is lower

Here is a GTR Bumper for Comparison...
http://exoticcarrentals-lasvegas.com...issan-gt-r.jpg

Notice that our center section is completely flat across the top... The GTR's isnt.
Notice also how big and bulky that opening is... Ours will be about 1"~1.5" tall according to the rendering.
Also, Our center section is simply there to cover the crash beam area

Dimer,

Please dont take my responses as we arent listening... we are running many ideas and concepts to remain functional and to better a great kit!

A lot of people love the amuse kit and we want to offer a differing version of it. Something that will have a fresh look yet still appeal to the amuse crowd. I have heard from many that they would buy the amuse kit but it seems like everybody and their brother has that kit. People are looking for something a little different... we are trying to speak out to that crowd.

NewYorkJon34 06-28-2011 11:38 PM

I think you guys should step away from the amuse side & really look into modifing the Zele kit. Looking forward to seeing the new kits Mike

THIS IS HOW YOU POST UP RENDERINGS lol not half *** ones...+100 for the renderings but im not feeling the sides

I'm just posting to second everything phelan has said in this thread.

The side skirts don't look like they flow with the car at all. They look ricey to me.

Pricing is undetermined at this point... we have to finish the prototype first.

Econ 06-29-2011 07:58 AM

doesnt look bad. just a little too close to the amuse (which looks great, but is a little overplayed imo)

Corona370z 06-29-2011 08:34 AM

I like the look because I'm a fan of the Amuse kit.

The front bumper looks alright but it feels like there is missing something, like a "Z" emblem like the GTR has its emblem. Kinda fills in the odd look to it. As soneone mentioned earlier, maybe smooth it out a little to make not look so bulky so it can "flow" with the other parts. I like it but needs work as many have stated.

I like the side skirts, they are different and have a little uniqueness to it to me.

The rear...well it basically looks Amuse, so I like it.

Overal for me:

cheshirecat 06-29-2011 08:50 AM

I like the newest render.

IMO, the small "fins" at the front of the sideskirt don't really look like they belong. I like the rest of the skirt- I just feel like it would flow better if those front little fin things were smoothed out.

I like the front also. I think the gtr-like "crossbar" in the front would look great if it were two-toned. Almost looks out of place with it being paintmatched.

Overall, I think it's a great looking kit.

OK here is the smoothed front center section and the removed gills from the side skirts:

vo370z 06-29-2011 10:20 AM

I like it...A lot cleaner....

cheshirecat 06-29-2011 10:32 AM

That looks great. Well done.

Liquid_G 06-29-2011 10:36 AM

something about it makes it look more like the front end of a Mitsubishi Eclipse than a GT-R.

Lemers 06-29-2011 10:48 AM

I like the new side skirt even better go with that one.

kenchan 06-29-2011 10:59 AM

it looks like a fake amuse kit...

the pot's been stirred Kenchan, no need to keep :stirthepot:

Econ 06-29-2011 11:24 AM

im just afraid it looks a little like a cat fish with its mouth open. the shape of the front grill/vent placement... look like gills/mouth....

idk, overall i think it looks good, just needs some adjustments

XwChriswX 06-29-2011 12:56 PM

I just don't know if this is going to look good in production or not. The PS works don't give me much confidence and the Amuse to me just is not a good kit to start out with, and using it to bring in GT-R styling... I just don't know. :(

Zerafian 06-29-2011 12:59 PM

Im sure your guys fabrication skills are top notch, especially to be pulling this off. I also mean no disrespect because I know exactly how much work goes into creating such things.

I know its already been mentioned quite a few times...it looks just like amuse but with more holes it the kit.....I would just assume you would have tried to come up with a totally original look.

Personally...

I like it!!! Couple of questions: pricing for complete kit in CF and will it fit a Roadster? (I assume the answer is yes?) Also, can you direct me to CF hoods that you offer?

Thanks,
Tim

bullitt5897 06-29-2011 06:47 PM

Hey Tim, we haven't settled on pricing and we are about to get underway with our prototype. We will make both frp and cf versions... This will be roadster compatible and at the moment we have not taken on making hoods.

Mike

quagmire87 06-29-2011 07:44 PM

In for cf sideskirts! Can't wait

The whole we dont want to be GTRs is funny to me. Cause to me this doesnt even look remotely like a GTR! yes it has one design cue from the front bumper but that is it... We hope to have a prototype ready soon! we are already getting everything ready to start on it.

It looks really weird on a roadster IMO. Shadowx2x posted a thread on here somewhere.

NewYorkJon34 06-29-2011 09:10 PM

This concept reminds me soo much of the new Jaguar XK-RS: http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/d925e4f8.jpg

The original Amuse rear bumper looked wierd...

Ours will be "taller" which will fit the body much better... also, that roadster was a 4x4 no kit would look good on it looking like a 4x4 lol

Cmike2780 06-29-2011 09:23 PM

I thought it looked like they pulled elements from the GRan Turismo when I first saw the Amuse kit.http://www.thetorquereport.com/maser...se_concept.jpg

Well we have a few concept pictures of what we plan on making this summer. Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments.

We borrowed a few pictures to make the concept illustrations... if the owners or publications have a problem with us using the pictures please let me know via PM and we will work out something out.

so without further anticipation:

Front Bumper:
Yes yes i love it.-We have increased the front bumper side intakes (making them functional)
Not for me, don't like!-We have added GTR inspired Center section

Side Skirts:
Unsure, could be nice.-New Organic look (a little something different)

Rear Bumper:
Yes-Functional diffuser
Yes-Lower ground clearance for the bumper
Yes yes-Wider Side vents (similar to veilside version 3)
-Option for custom exhaust through Bumper vents
-Would like it if it was rounder like the OEM bumper, getting rid of that crease that runs across it. So it looks like this ) and not >
:hello:

Just me, but i'd love to see my fanged amuse get made.

catfish mouth needs to get fixed.
more holes= more rice.
please make the lip straight across the bumper, no surface difference there.
please make it out of Polyurethane, FRP sucks and carbon fiber is too expensive.

great Idea on the FANGS, please add.

Joe711 08-16-2011 09:36 PM

pm as soon as this kit is ready for the price
