If I had the money I would choose the regular Amuse kit over this version any day.

Thanks for all the input guys.
We already have another kit of our own design in the works... we are trying to address the request over the past year for something different and since people were requesting a GTR inspired body kit already we decided to tone down the GTR inspiration and put in a functional vent using a similar design. The sideskirts are definitely different and I know they will look great in person. The rear bumper is taller in design to address a few critiques we had with the original amuse design. We made it taller and added a functional rear diffuser. Some may not like this kit and some will. We liked the concept of the amuse bumper but feel it needed added functionality. Please keep your comments coming this will better help us critique our designs and better understand what the public wants. Please keep it constructive and as cute as the Dr Seuss post was its not needed. thank guys, Mike |
"The sideskirts are definitely different and I know they will look great in person".
I reserve right to judge after I see close-ups of the real thing, but really? Where else do you see those lines on the car, Mike? They don't flow at all, now the side looks like it has mini-gills on it. If you want to vent it, keep it simple. Tri-vents can be kept on the hood, but should have no business anywhere else on the car. I have to agree with cmike on this one, why bother with the amuse kit anymore? You and Drew have enough ideas to build your own design, why don't you focus your efforts and get that one on the market? That would be way more refreshing than "oh look modded amuse." |

Notice I took out the side skirts? I do like those, maybe with the Fujimura front bumper.

I think i 'kinda' know why people are being negative on this.
to me: The amuse kit is a great kit, probably one of the best out there. Problem is, its so great that it is pretty common so people tend to get tired of looking at it. I like the idea of function > looks and i am a big fan of the Amuse kit, but i think people are desperate to see new designs. wont judge this until i see the final product. Keep it up UAM! btw, i am in SoCal too, where is your shop located at? |
+1 on the sidekirts! Ill jump on them if you guys do make them!
|
No GTR front lol. Dont try to copy lol
The big thing is function over form. |
Very interesting- it'll look really good in the two-toned scheme.
I don't think many people will go for it, though (no matter how good it looks) because of being afraid of being thought of as a "Wannabe gtr" with that front end. :( |
The whole we dont want to be GTRs is funny to me. Cause to me this doesnt even look remotely like a GTR! yes it has one design cue from the front bumper but that is it... We hope to have a prototype ready soon! we are already getting everything ready to start on it.

Then why do you call it GTR inspired? And the mid-section of the front bumper screams "I'M A GTR" to me.
The G35s couldn't rock it nicely, I am not sold that we can either. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...XL._SS400_.jpg Anyway, you put this thread up for thoughts / opinions. I've said my piece. Let's see the prototype and I'll reconsider then. |
