Paint Matched Door Handles

Just got mine done at a local shop, figured I would post for those who are on the fence about doing theirs. Looks 100% better IMO.

meh likes
wanna do mine gun metal |
Looks nice

Looks good
They almost look like gunmetal in the pictures, it looks very nice though! I kind of like the way they are the matte metallic finish stock in terms of contrast against lighter colors but they visually stick out a lot more on Mag black Zs.
Damn Nissan needs to stop being cheap and have this done from the factory
looks nice
Men i've been thinking about this, looks real nice.
That looks awesome! Did you bring in your car or remove the door handles? Very well done IMO

Got mine done in December. Definitely worth the cost - approx $150. Left the car at Baker Tuning for my Nismo bumper/Tanabe spring/spacer install.
Looks good painted. I like the Nismo bumper too.
Painted door handles look good but I also like the brushed aluminum look.
Yah, that looks good.
Nice touch!
Yeah I like it a lot. Debating whether I would like it on the red.
Looks awesome!
That looks real good.. but.. God damn its ridiculous how much orange peel we have on the factory paint. So obvious in these pics.
Anybody with a 40th done this yet?
Think I paid about $150. Was getting some other work done (after a tornado went through my town) and decided to go ahead and let them do it. I remember the shop talking about it being a pain to do, not sure if they were refering to removing the door handle or spraying the backside of the handle.
I'm still on the fence with painting the handles, if I did the ones on my 40th, I would do it black.
Funny enough, that brushed alluminum is good for when I'm in a tight spot near a wall, that stock handle takes damage unlike a painted door handle would lol. |
A million times better.

Its like 2 bolts to take off very easy to do... I did my 350Zs a couple different colors until color matching finally and it was so easy to take off! |

Guess I'm gonna be the outcast here -- not feeling this at all.
To each his own, though! |
Rather shave then paint
This will be my next mod. Great job guys!
I picked up my painted handles today from the body shop and the paint did not match. I'm bringing them back in the morning. They warned me about the color not matching perfectly, but this wasn't even close. I gave them my front splash guard to use for comparison.

The contrast between gun metallic or silver and brushed aluminum looks too sexy to mess with the doors. Those kind of mods are for people with black, white, red, and blue cars.

Dropped them off this morning. They didn't use enough pearl...if that makes sense. I'm not sure if they didn't mix in enough pearl, or if they didn't spray enough coats of pearl. ?? I'll post pics once they get it right. This mod is a PITA |

I don't like the faux brushed aluminum look on the inside too. I hated the trim on the inside of my G37S. Other people went rasy over it. Now guys love painting them black, but I don't care for that either. I respect their taste and what they want to do with their cars, it's just not for me. |

^looks great. It totally depends on the car's color, but I generally prefer the painted handles.
Mine: Matched door handles I recently covered the handles with clear bra to protect all that hard work  |
My car is black and I'm doing it now it's in the paint shop, hope they match the color .
I'll post pic's when it's done |

Great Idea ! |

As I stated previously, in my opinion (which I acknowledge is totally worthless), there's no comparison between the silver and painted handles. It really dresses up the car. |
I wish I knew of a good paint shop around here. Anyone have it done in North Carolina?
