Yeah, the paint does add a nice touch for sure. I have a silver and like it as is, but I'd have them painted if I had another color for sure.

Whatever you do Pearl White owners do not try to use white PlastiDip. The bright white up against the pearl is atrocious, not that I didnt know that before trying but I was hoping the PD white wouldn't be super bright.

Epic FAIL to say the least!

Since this is an older thread, I thought I'd ask what folks thought of their painted door handles now that they are a few years old. How did they last?

I just bought a 2016 NISMO in red and I'm considering having my bodyshop paint them. The OEM ones draw too much attention.

It does look good! Did you remove/install yourself? If so, how was it?

I actually had a body shop do it along with a few other bits I needed painted.

So I live in a fairly small city, and I know the manager of my dealer's body shop. I like the way this looks so I asked him about it. $600 apparently... guess I'll get another couple of quotes.

What chrome is he talking about? :icon14: Paint will last just fine on the OEM handles - as long as they are prepped and painted properly. I'm thinking you're probably better off going somewhere else anyway.

Yes sir, I think you're right. Truth told, the more I think about it, I might just do it myself with them on the car. I figure a little scuffing paste and a red Scotch Brite pad, hit it with an adhesion promoter and it should stick just fine.
