Anyone know what this is? (in trunk under foam)

There aren't any screws/bolts that I can see to move it or inspect it. It's right where I would like my battery to go. These photos are from travisjb's battery

Does it have any wires that go to it? It looks like an intelligent key antenna.

I really think its maybe an antenna amp. check out page 39 of the link.
