Well that sucks.

Tinted glass FTW here. Armor All can't hurt either.

:icon18: Thanks, I agree, I'm not going to let them try and repair it, I think they should just order me a new panel. It will save everyone a lot of trouble.

Most of his repairs are done on used cars so the dealer can get the car out the door and down the road at the least cost. Tell your dealer you will not stand for a repair and want a new panel since your car is in warranty. Plus I cannot believe that Nissan wants bad Publicity on this car in this Economy..................
:tiphat:

Thanks for having him look at the pics, that is good info to have

So Armor All is considered a protectant?

Well it does have a little tiny viking dude that looks like he keeps bad things away! :rofl2:

It protects, but comes with some cons, the biggest of which is it evaporates and leaves a film on your windshield that is easy to see and hard to get off.
I heard murphy's oil soap works better without the greasy residue.

I use my car cover at work when it's hot I crack the window alittle bit.

I haven't got a reply back from the Service Manger yet, either he's avoiding me, or maybe he didn't get my email with pics. I guess I'll have to call him on Monday.

Zboi513 04-26-2009 02:39 PM

let us know what he says cause them trying to repair it is pure BS...

One of the guys I work with has a brother in-law that works in that service dept. So he called and told him my story, I guess he talked to someone at Nissan for me and now they are going to order the panel. I guess it helps to know the right people.

Yeah, I would have felt better about it if the service manager responded to my email, although I can't be positive that he ever got it.

What's the status regarding this obvious manufacturer's defect?

Parts are not yet available, they called me today, and they are saying June 14th, so about a month off, I guess it's to be expected on such a new model.
