Default Painting Carbon Fiber Fang Cover

I decided to go with the blacked out or carbon fiber fang look on my car. Basically, I like the look of the matte black fangs but I want to be able to return to stock if I decide I dont like it or when if I sale/trade in the vehicle.

I have ordered the cf fang cover and am awaiting delivery. My thought is to paint the cf fang cover matte or satin black. My question is, would you paint the cf the same way that you would paint the original fangs, similar to minicobra1 and simota1's diy or would a different process be used? Has anyone painted the cf fang cover before? Thanks in advance.

you can paint it like you'd paint any other panels.

but if you're thinking about removing it or planning to get aftermarket lips, i would've went with bat's vinyl.

I'm not planning on removing it per se. I just want to have the option.

If you remove the fang covers it may leave scratch marks on the paint.

If you paint it, expect rock chips to make it look like crap showing the CF coming through. But atleast it's a darker color so it won't be as bad.

I've been thinking about doing something similar, but I def want to have the option to remove without damaging anything. What were you referring to by Bat's Vinyl? Is that a vendor on here?
