thanks guys and glad to see the good interest, wait for the CS competitive pricing as usual.

@billet370, I appreciate your comments and we are very open to constructive Criticism, it also gives us a chance to give more details about our items. We are planing to post installed pictures and even some video to give a full product feel to potential customers.

I agree with these posts, overlays are cheap looking (If not done properly). But we want to clear here that CarbonSignal CF Kit parts are not plain overlays of CF, but proper parts out of a proper mould. Our three meters, tach meter can be replaced with OEM part if needed just to show the quality, when i was test fitting i even found it somehow hard to remove the cover on top of those three meters. it became almost as one part  so i dont think u will need to add any stickers ;), For the window switches and kick plates yes, you would need to stick them, just because there wasn't that much space for window switches to go in the door, and the clips underneath were too complicated.

What made us do these is many reasons:
- Some items cant be wrapped easily.
- People might end up breaking the Items when they will try to remove them as they have to send it over.
- People have to wait for the parts to get there in the mail, have work done, then mailed back. Time Time Time.. In our case, the parts are made then sent to the customer, NO down time, No driving without interior parts
- When any part of the kit is installed it wont show what's underneath and that was our main aim to provide something with very good coverage and quality.
- We have kept the quality same as any carbon fiber replacement part using two layers along with a base.
- If someone installs the kit, He/she can always have an option of removing or changing these in the future, so keeping this investment secure, people sell cars so at least have the money back. Or change it some other colour or finish.

We don't mind at all if someone prefers wrapping compared to this as for us both are similar items one with loose OEM under it and one with permanently stuck OEM to it. We are offering wrapping locally and also these and both the customers are happy with the results. its just we are giving a new option for the community :driving:

These items which we posted are first to be out form the mould and thats what we are doing now, final finish to the mould and then will take one more set out and post full reviews.

^^ sounds good. yah, i haven't tried yet, but the hats are hard to wrap with DiNoc, thus my request for ala carte'.
plus they break off rather than unsnap at the paw.

since these are actually molded in the shape of the surfaces i think they will turn out pretty nice.

the tacky flat CF sheets sold at most online stores are the ones to look out for..they turn out like :icon14: shitola.

Mr&Mrs 04-12-2011 05:39 PM

Hmm I dont want everything so when you have numbers worked out for individual items give me a PM.

KaienZ34 04-12-2011 05:48 PM

I think they will fit and look just fine. Like the mirror and b-pillar covers that many people have and love without any problems.

Mr&Mrs 04-12-2011 05:56 PM

I was afraid of these type of add ons until I got my door handle over lays, they are perfect! That is why I wouldn't mind picking up a few of these pieces that I feel are not necessary to have wrapped.

KaienZ34 04-12-2011 06:06 PM

I mean, i haven't heard or seen many problems with evo-r's stuff. I small offset with the fang overlay, but you can't see unless you put your head down to the ground right in fron of it. The 1st version of the rear diffuser nice a small tweak to get it prefect. Mirror and b-pilar covers seem to be great, their stuff should be as good if not better.

JB-370z 04-12-2011 09:27 PM

Still no price?

370Z JT 04-12-2011 10:28 PM

Im interested in pricing for the shift ring and (2) panel switches.

kenchan 04-12-2011 11:36 PM

3 hats for me. :yum:

Maila87 04-20-2011 02:45 AM

Really nice kit!

If is still no price, can you point price range? :stirthepot:

The most common post in this tread is, that if price will be reasonable that member will buy it. Have to agree :bowrofl:

Liquid_G 04-20-2011 10:10 AM

I'd be willing to bet that list shrinks to less than half once pricing is released..

CarbonSignal 04-20-2011 12:32 PM

ok guys, unfortunately our carbon fiber guy had to go on an emergency leave to Philippines so that's the main reason for the delay in pictures and other details.

We will start working on it once he is back as we have just one more guy but he is busy with our normal local market work. These kits need our guy to work for atleast 3-4 days on a single kit, because of finishing required.

We will start making these by third week to end of May and if people can wait which I believe they will, be contacted according to the list which is going on.

For the pricing as we said we will always be competitive so the full kit will cost in the range of 550-700$ depend on the custom work (colour/type of CF) and number of people in the first and only group buy.

We are still trying to find sometime next week to finish the first set and post some installed pictures.

Please add/delete your name if anyone wants to in the ongoing GB Interior kit

wow :icon14: ill stick around on the list to see how low it will go..... but man 500-700 cash money  can we custom order just the pieces we want? so itll cost less than that? all i really want is the three gauge hats the rpm bezel and the two other gauge covers (the one on each side of the cluster) the others i dont really care for  could you maybe pm me a ball park figure for just those cs? i was honestly thinking around 300-400 because there were so many pieces.... but 500-700 puts it above my budget for this mod... keep me updated CS!!!! thanks

kellyefields 04-20-2011 06:16 PM

I am more interested in the below but I am like everyone else here I think 5 bills is on the high side especially for something that attaches with tape?
I could possibly see 3-5 but 5-7 all I can say is whoa nellie. Once pricing is set and we can see the differences in the colors (me looking for the silver carbon fiber look) and a final price list then maybe. Please pm me a final price for the below items when pricing is set.
3 middle meter covers
1 Tachmeter cover
2 window switch bezel

metz 04-20-2011 08:06 PM

I agree with them. I'm only interested in the 3 hats, tach cover or top of gauge cluster and the switch plates. I'm not even sure what the other pieces were.

kenchan 04-20-2011 08:54 PM

Yah me too, I just want the 3 hats in matte CF. :) ala carte FTW!

simota1 04-21-2011 08:42 AM

Hey Sim. Shipping would be your least worry. We will use the most cost effective courier not to mention we have accounts with most companies so we already get discounted rates

I think the term overlay has everyone thinking of the cheesy stick on dash kits that are like paper. What Im getting that they are saying is they are basically making a mold of a part and form fitting a piece for it, this piece will be stuck down. As someone who has worked with carbon fiber many times, this is exactly how I would do the gauge "hats" since they are not readily removeable. Its basically the same as "wrapping" say the switch plates, since its nothing more than a piece of carbon fiber resined onto the plastic then floodcoated and finished. Only this is taped down rather than resined in place. Its no different than the fang overlay that everyone uses, a hardened piece of CF form fitting.
Now someone from Carbon Signal correct me if Im offbase here.

you are right on the spot:tup:3m tape will be used only on window bezels rest no need for anything they will just clip on.

AdamX 04-23-2011 01:06 PM

clip on sounds good!!!!!

JordoKAP 04-23-2011 02:21 PM

Do you guys have a photo of an interior with all pieces installed?

??? I don't think carbon signal is making those.

Joebarchuck 05-02-2011 02:25 PM

I would be in if it was not stick on. Not sure I understand why it would be much harder to make parts that replace the OEM part. Stick on add thickness to the parts and look amateurish which I would accept if I was doing it myself but paying for amateurish look makes no sense to me. Too bad as this would look really good.

kenchan 05-02-2011 02:37 PM

joebarchuck - parts like the door switch has more than just a plain flat piece with contour. if you look inside, it has to have snap feature, be able to hold the mechanical switch modules, etc. it's quite 3 dimensional.... so it's more involved and would cost too much $$$ to replace the entire thing from the core.

plus warranty is going to be tough cause some folks push/pull on the switches pretty damn hard and it can break the CF trim entirely.

next best is to wrap the existing factory bits in CF...which you've seen vendors here do.

then this current overlay approach with no down time.

You might be seeing the outter picture of these interior parts but if you look closely to the inside of some parts like the door switch its quite complicated to replace the whole thing, not worth the money/time and not to mention they can be broken easily if not removed carefully. Will try to post a picture of some OEM interior part which we have apart to show what I mean.

BTW, we are almost done with the first set of CF interior kit and should have installed/finished product pictures in a few days.

kenchan 05-03-2011 06:39 AM

Wooot! :D

Joebarchuck 05-03-2011 11:00 AM

Hi guys, I guess my post stirred some dirt and it was not my intention. I was not criticizing the people choosing to go this route nor the company making these parts.

I understand the labor required to make the equivalent of the OEM part and I myself would go the route to have the OEM part either painted or CF wrapped. Now that's me and I respect all others who prefer what Carbon Signal has to offer.

kenhdcgov 05-06-2011 11:45 AM

Ok, Ok, I am sold, just tell me how soon I can older and how?? Sign me Today as in right this moment!! I have truly been searching for severl of the parts in this kit!! Look out here I come. Don't make me have to hunt you down!! ROFL & CGU!!!

kenhdcgov 05-06-2011 11:51 AM

BTW, Joebarchuck, I have several snap and paste on interior CF pieces in place and they are the sbolute "bomb". You cannot tell they it's not OEM!! Just us, my brother before it's too late!!!
