My gas door won't stay shut

I had the same issue. At some point the gas cap tether came loose from the car mount side and I reattached near the top of the fuel door hinge.

At some point the gas cap tether came loose from the car mount side and I reattached near the top of the fuel door hinge. Mounted near the top stopped the fuel door from closing all the way down. Remounting the tether at the bottom resolved the issue.
