Is Wedge brackets good fit for Sparco seats?

Would it be also universal with any brand of race seats?

Thanks.

Here is my setup.
SparcoPro2000 + BuddyClub base/rails.

Installation is bolt on, absolutely no problems and i can say it sits little lower than stock.

Highly recommend buddyclub base/rail if you dont want install or hight problems.

Zoren 370 11-13-2014 11:12 AM

^ nice I should have known earlier I already ordered sparco600 base bracket with sliders. I like it really low. I hope sparco does.

I tried checking this bracket but they only have for 350Z is it the same with 370?

dimitarm 11-13-2014 01:00 PM

When i contacted BuddyClub at email they told me that they arent making them for 370z which is very strange because there are websites on net selling them for 370z :D.
I bought them from Options Auto Salon - Sport Compact Car Performance Parts

Zoren 370 11-13-2014 01:41 PM

Thanks man. Yeah that is weird I did actually checked their website nothing for 370z but they have for GTR and 350z.

if im not good with the sparco brackets i'll check this out I like to be seated like a midget inside the Z. Lol

mag_black 02-23-2015 01:37 PM

I had some issues installing the rails because the side mounts were hard to line up, but eventually I was able to maneuver them in. I'm 5 11, 215 lbs. They sit pretty low.

Nice, I have about 5" on you so looking for someone near 6'3-4" to test.
Vivid/Status said the seats are equal to stock but can be made to go lower with the right rails but they cannot confirm this 100%. Bride Stradi would be the perfect seat but I am not a skinny guy so need the more average american style fitment.

dP3NGU1N 02-23-2015 02:07 PM

Just a quick question for everyone with seats. How many guys with full buckets run stock seat belts?

I ask because I'd like to get some seats, however, don't have the funds to do EVERYTHING at once; cage, harness, etc. I plan to accumulate those things one at a time but question the road safety of the stock belt once the seat is changed out.

I run seat belts on both mine until my new cages are built.

I am 6'2" and the stradia was the perfect lows!!! gave me a few more inches of headroom and kept my leg room.

Recaro CS sportsters are a tough one and they may be equal height to stock.

Yeah, I have driven a Z with Stradia but since then I have gone up a belt size and it was already a 'snug' fit I don't think they will work for me.
I need something more 36ish, I was 33 inch when I tested them last time.

34" waist is the max on stradia...

When I sat in them I was 33-34 and had nothing in my jeans and was wearing a t-shirt and it was a very snug fit.
No way my waist could get in now.

carlitos_370z 02-24-2015 09:41 AM

i hope someday install some bucket seats in my Z:stirthepot:

I have my seats on the third hole from bottom in front and 2nd hole from bottom in back. I wanted to give it a slight decline. They feel lower than my stock. The shoulders are a bit narrow for me though.

edit: I'll be at Zdayz in May, if anyone wants to try them out.

Cvzg77r 03-01-2015 12:29 PM

hey guys, I need the help of those with bride stradia or gias seats. What cushion did you guys choose? standard or low? how much did it drop (or raise) the seating position. What brackets did you get and also appox how tall you are as well. I'm 5'11" and in the Z seat i only have a fist above head in clearance (i sit pretty upright) My seat is bottomed out all the way with the stock seat.
Thanks guys!

CarbonFZ 03-04-2015 12:53 PM

Anyone looking for RO seat rails i got some for sale!

Hey there,

I'm 5'10 and have room for a helmet with the "regular" cushion on the Stradia seat. You gain about 2" headroom even with the NON-low-max version. More padding for the arse too.

ed_423 04-20-2015 01:02 AM

time to bump this thread up.

i know how everyone say the trade off of having after market seats is that you lose the airbag, and if you try to do the 2015 nismo seats or the nismo juke seats with air bag, it'll cost way too much.

However...on the recaro website it states that it makes seats WITH universal side airbags?? won't this solve the problem? im sure there will be an extra cost but certainly cheaper than getting the 2015 nismo seats?

link for example : https://www.recaro-automotive.com/en...rtster-cs.html

My set of bride euroster premium leather seats!

mag_black 04-21-2015 11:10 PM

^^ I may eventually get these because getting in and out of buckets is getting real old!

nomodsjk 04-22-2015 10:23 AM

They don't make them anymore from what I was told... It was supposedly a limited run with the leather finish. I think you can only get them in suede unless you find a nice used set. That's what I did. I may have been told bs though I'm really not sure

FairladyZ10PG 04-22-2015 11:17 AM

^I saw that somewhere too that they're no longer in production. But the Bride website still has them listed so I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I'm getting the driver side only in gradation this summer & I was told these seats are mad comfy.

Can't wait to get them! :)

nomodsjk 04-22-2015 03:27 PM

They are more comfortable than the oem in my opinion

MannyWiner 04-28-2015 09:35 PM

Just had my Status Ring GT-X seat installed last week. I had them done in grey and black suede. Small than expected but I fit fortunately. I'm 5'9, 205, 36" waist but athletic butt and legs are the tight part. But love them still with snug fit. Here they are:

How'd the planted work out?

MannyWiner 04-28-2015 10:22 PM

About two-three inches, raises me a lot but I actually like the feel more. Good visibility.

I'd be careful with those mounting points for the harnesses. From what I've read, the bar isn't mounted to a structural point in the chassis, so it could let go in an accident.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to be running them for a pretty long time before I go caged. Hopefully it's not too much of a problem. Short of losing side airbag I think everything else should still pretty much function the same.

I just got some status seats last week, still waiting on rails and mounts. Should have install pics next weekend. Only doing the driver side since I don't know what size people are going to be jumping in the passenger seat. =\

I got status seats for both sides, so I'd know EXACTLY what size people would be jumping in the passenger seat :icon18:

Just got this installed tonight.

Quick question for everyone else; what kind of bolts did you guys buy to attach the side mounts to the slide brackets? I went to autozone and got some 12mm bolts. I had to trim a bolt down in order to get the back as low as I wanted it to be because the bolt protruded too far. Even now the seat is right up against the nut that's fastening the brackets to the side mount.

I can take more pictures of what I mean if necessary.

Anyway, on to the images!
