I went down to a local hardware store and got the strongest stuff they had in different lengths...I found the ones I needed but forget the size :P

Quick question for everyone else; what kind of bolts did you guys buy to attach the side mounts to the slide brackets?

i would use the strongest bolts available. the stock bolts that bolt your seat to the car are metric, grade 10.9. most bolts sold at autozone or kragen...etc will be grade 8.8 which can break. with that said, i was able to find grade 10.9 bolts at orchard supply hardware for a reasonable price. used them for everything

The Autozone near me actually has a decent selection of 10.9 grade bolts, which is what I'm using right now. However, the heads are every so SLIGHTLY too large and run into the bottom of the seat at its lowest setting (which is what I need it to be at in order to fit with helmet.) So I'm on the hunt for 10.9 grade bolts that are a bit lower profile.

Recaro CS Sporster seats?
Any details on fitment (width & height), lower than stock or higher, comfort versus snug.

Same height as stock... maybe a little higher..

Width is fine just deeper with the side bolsters.

Comfort... Blows stock seats out of the water...

I am 6'2 and my wife is 5'2 and both of us love the seats...

Realale 07-02-2015 10:55 AM

Yup seat sits a tad lower to the ground but your seating height is a tad taller than stock. Seats hug all around. Padding is a bit stiffer than stock but it could just be because there new.

Just ordered the EVO II US with the Buddy Club mount. Can anyone advise me on the wiring for the air bag light and also if anyone has used the Sparco side mounts with the Buddy Club system(like the look of the Sparco rails). It looks like I will have to either notch the Sparco side rail to accommodate the tab on the BC for the seat belt or remove the tab completely and have something fabricated. I haven't ordered the side rails yet, so if it's not possible to incorporate the two please let me know so I can avoid the restocking fee. Thanks :tiphat:

I'd be careful with those mounting points for the harnesses. From what I've read, the bar isn't mounted to a structural point in the chassis, so it could let go in an accident.

This bar is Amuse R1 Titan with harness attachments, designed to hold the belts

Bump :-) anymore red seats with matching interior?

Dumb question:

Where do the shoulder harness straps attach to the car? It's not that support bar behind the seats, is it?

you can use the giant support bar in the back or you can purchase a harness bar.

fml, I can't make up my mind. I'm torn between 3 different kinds of seats

Wiggins3377 12-29-2015 06:19 PM

You can not use the OEM rear brace bar for harnesses. You need to buy a legitimate harness bar.

Can you tell me what kind of recaros?

pokeyl 01-03-2016 12:17 PM

Any low cost seats? under $700 for both? Amazon has some seats with outstanding reviews that don't cons 2-4K for a set.

Thanks

Are you wanting reclining or full buckets? You can usually pick up a set of Corbeau, Sparco, OMP or even some good condition Honda/Acura Type R Recaros for around that price range... you may have to spend a couple hundred more than $700 but you shouldn't break $1k (that may or may not include brackets though).

The reason why the amazon racing seats are so cheap is because they are replica seats or just generic chinese junk. I would not recommend getting them because ideally, you want something that can hold you firmly without even thinking about them breaking. My buddy bought a set and after a longer period time of driving, your butt hurt so bad.

Your best bet would be corbeau, they are the cheapest ones around that are also reputable.

We sell buddy club seats that I can do $360 each. I would stay away from those amazon seats like ///maestro said.

You can see the limited P1's we put in our car (these are a little more expensive):
