so counter clockwise. if the strap wrench slips it's beyond the torque it can handle. if you sandwich a non-slip like i did, SNAP goes the wrench.

I struggled a bit with the 60's a bit but I was fired up lol

Ok, well at least I was turning it the right way. I'm gonna give it the ol' college try again tonight. I might just post a pic of me in tears if I fail again lol.
