question on painting door handles

i feel like im missing something here, but why do the door handles need to be removed to paint them? cant you just tape everything off sand/prime/paint them with them

Rep Power: 21	question on painting door handles i feel like im missing something here, but why do the door handles need to be removed to paint them? cant you just tape everything off sand/prime/paint them with them still on the car? im gonna feel dumb if im missing something obvious...
