Default Outside air temperature gauge

My outside air temperature gauge always reads about 10 degrees, or more, below the actual temperature. I had this on my list at the first service, and the dealer said they "reset" the software, but it's still the same. There was an old thread ('09) on this subject but mostly having to do with high readings on hot days, whereas mine is the reverse. Also, it doesn't correct itself after driving for awhile, which some owners have commented. Not a big deal, but I think its malfunctioning and the dealer doesn't seem to want to replace it. Anyone else experience this? Mine's a roadster but I don't think that is relevant. The gauge is in front of the radiator.

I find it is usually off by 2-4 degrees; more if car was warmed up and then sitting, but corrects after driving for a bit.

If it gets wet, it will read low until fully dries.

Did they not just try replacing the sensor?

I think this is part of the options on the fuel gauge computer.

OP, take it to another dealer. Your service department is apparently run by monkeys. And not even the smart monkeys. If it had been software the temp reading would have changed instantly.

You should be able to set it using the console "carputer" thing to the left of the steering wheel.
