Has anyone tried to install a different kind of side mirror so as not to block the driver's vision?
If you have, please give details.

How tall are u? I'm 5'7 and it does block visibility a little, specially when turning left and trying to avoid a curb lol. Haven't thought on changing them though, I don't think its worth the trouble, for me at least.

Yeah it blocks my view when I turn left, it's annoying when I turn left on my small streets. I'm 5'9 btw.

I agree, these mirrors do obstruct your vision. I drove a 350z for 7 years (mirrors much more slender) and I still can not get used to the 370 mirrors. I read that someone on this site sits on a object to raise their height so they can see over the side mirrors.

I actually figured out yesterday why the mirrors are so tall on the 370. The view out the back of the car is very limited. You can only see things that are basically right behind you. If you look out the driver's side mirror, the tall mirror lets you see a good distance back behind the car. I agree that they do block visibility a bit, but the nice view behind you sort of makes up for it.
