did you take out title loans on the car? i am a little curious how after 5 years of payments, the car was still so far from paid off that selling the volks or something couldnt have covered it?

i am not trying to criticize or be a jerk, just curious is all. im sorry to hear about your loss.

Its cool man, thats a legit question. Back in 06' I really had no credit, no loans, no credit cards, so I had to get a cosigner. Sadly my only available cosigner had bad credit but they still approved us because I had a good job back then and I could prove good income. It was financed through the dealership and come 2011 with numerous attempts they would not refinance and no bank would give me a loan for the remainder, which I wasnt surprised about at all.

Im not even going into what I should have done.

Ouch - that repo is going on your credit as well as you cosigner's for the next 7 years.

I'll be honest, my cosigner doesnt even give a damn about their credit so theres no worry there( Theres no need to discuss that or ask questions about that sentence). As for mine, Iv already discussed that with the appropriate people and its not effecting my credit near as much as you would think. This is another reason I dont feel as ashamed to make my situation public.

In the end its not effecting my life as much as I thought it would...besides losing a beautiful car and the attachment I had to it.
