UPDATED CarbonFiber Dash and Door Inserts

52 Attachment(s)
UPDATED 01/28/2011: Well this weather has surely kicked the *** out everybody in the 50 states of this country, well Florida citizens probably got sunburned. ANYWAYS, after much snow and this amazing whether, the carbon fiber hype has returned from its delayed operation. :excited:

We are planning on releasing prices and hi-resolution pictures soon. The fitment is like a glove, and we're not talking about the glove that OJ used.

Attached are a few pics to get the carbon fiber mood going.

ALSO AS A REMINDER: Customers have the option of choosing between Carbon fiber and Fiber glass. In addition, Kevlar will be available as well for those that are seeking a bit of color though the weaves. We have opened a sponsor account through the forums but finishing up on the final details.

ENJOY and stay warm

UPDATE: new pics of carbon fiber engine cover, knee pads wrapped in carbon fiber and speedo ring wrapped in carbon fiber.

UPDATE: CHECK ADDITIONAL PAGES OF THIS THREAD FOR MORE PICTURES AND INFO:hello:

You must have not noticed the paragraph i devoted solely for this request. We have already went through the proper channels and the sponsor account differs from my personal account, handled by tonester.

But attached are a couple pics, the entire center console has been completed and figured that would be a good teaser but understandable for complete pics. Progress pics never hurt anybody ;)

Gixxer2k4 12-28-2010 04:45 PM

Xan 12-28-2010 04:51 PM

Do you have some pictures of the backsides?

Waiz 12-28-2010 04:58 PM

Will you be making these for the NISMOs or only the other models?

LOL!!

christian370z 12-28-2010 05:02 PM

I would love to get the vent surround section done in carbon fiber, is this a send in your parts type deal? Or is there the possibility of getting whatever piece you have done, charging a core exchange charge until your stock part is received so that there is little down time for the customer?

Junior370z 12-28-2010 05:23 PM

Great... More carbon fiber items that I want!
Looks good!

Endgame 12-28-2010 05:43 PM

hmmmm... this looks good...

FL 4Motion 12-28-2010 05:53 PM

looks good man, personally would prefer matte "dry" carbon vs. the wet carbon look or like you mentioned y'all might make a carbon/kevlar weave version as well, that would look good too.

would dress up my nismo quite nicely...:ughdance: (sorry just couldn't resist, carry on. :tiphat:)

Chris_1 12-28-2010 05:58 PM

Are nismo's really that different?

fullmonty 12-28-2010 06:00 PM

not really at all in the inside, i was just messing with the OP cause of the "is the nismo worth it thread" that we were all debating in earlier, that's all.

LOL!!

NISMO are banned from Parts since modding it would be against the first amendment.... Based on a lenghty tea time chat lol jk

They will be availably to all and to other autos. I have a few stang guys, Z and etc line up but before I act like a Gordon gecko need to tie up some loose ends.

I will get pics of rear in a day or two. Now just an FYI, back of product isn't like the front. Like a carbon fiber hood

Carbon_z 12-28-2010 10:52 PM

This will indeed be a send your part in type deal or you can order new parts and sell your old parts once your new items come in. This is similar to style how the headlight mods are done, u send them in and return time of 2 weeks. The cool part. You can still drive your car, just like I did. Missing door inserts, armrest, speedo plastic, engine cover and door stills. It still had music and everything worked perfect. Eye soar for 2 weeks but your not grounded.

Carbon fiber wrapping and fiberglass allows use to keep cost down. Molds take lots an lots of time and money. If we were replacing let's say an entire door panel, then a mold would be decided on. But most of the pieces, wrapping over mold copies, save all parties money. The fitment isn't off and yes there's a lay of new material but it's not 3 inches thick nor that the size reject it.

Most remember and have had a bad taste in their mouth of another carbon fiber vendor "Spawn Aero" and like me would feel more comfortable buying something in stock and returning a core just more of a safer approach. But to do this would require an investment in two or three pieces from a dealer or salvaged yard since they're going to be covered. Thats the only way I would trust to give up my parts. If you reconsider the your business procedure? I would consider it. Good Luck :tiphat:

Carbon Fiber Element 12-28-2010 11:16 PM

All of these parts were done by me...billet of course is the proud owner of all these parts. I have been doing this work for years now, I've done everything from the 350z to parts for porsches and m3's...lots of others also!! Just shoot me any PMs with questions....Oh and a list of prices/installed pics coming very very soon.

I 100% agree that for you, the buyer, that would be great. But for work like this when it is all custom, it just doesn't help me out. I've been all over the 350 forums for years and nothing but great feedback on there. It is true tho that the bad guys make the good guys look bad sometimes. Im not a huge shop and don't do 100s of jobs at once so I make it a point to stay on top of what im doing. For now the only thing I can offer is a reasonabe turnaround time and quality work...;)

Or find a set of interior parts, Nissan, eBay, etc and send those to the location and then once you receive the parts back sell your stock parts that were in ur car the entire time. Or save them. Up to you

say what

Carbon_z 12-29-2010 03:24 AM

The service we offer is Not a sticker service. The service we office is actual parts wrapped in carbon fiber with harder, clear coat, fiberglass, carbon fiber and resis. The outcome is buffed to reflect a beautiful shine made of rare high end material. The process is somewhat similar to an auto owner deciding to reuplostrey the cloth interior to leather/suede within their car. instead of actually using cloth or leather, you are having your interior redone in carbon fiber or fiber glass. If an actually mold or unit was sold to consumers rather than wrapping of parts, the outcome would still be the same, which is an interior piece of carbon fiber. These assumption that theae are overlays with doubled sided tape must have you mixed up. We do not use any tape on your parts and this is not a sticker service. Again stages of our services include: Carbon fiber sheet, resins, hardner, clear coat, buff.

The weight of these items will weigh close to factory weight considering most of the Z's interior is made up of plastic. The parts being wrapped in carbon fiber are same mental process of an owner deciding to wrap original material, such as cloth, with leather. We strip the parts down to plastic and prep parts for first lay of fiber layering. This is more of a comestic job than performance due to the fact smaller items are being done, also considering the interior is plastic beneth the cloth or leather for some, it's already light. Finally, we offer and you receive A+ carbon fiber wrap, weave is straight and tight, inspected throughly and finally returned to you.

We can offer complete replacement parts but the cost will be higher due since an original piece is not provided by owner. Meaning we will purchase Nissan parts and send to you upon completion. When you receive your new carbon fiber or fiberglass parts, you can simply sell your stock parts that were replaced in car or you may contact us to attempt to sell them as well.

NewYorkJon34 12-29-2010 03:56 AM

Good work as always Tony, I'm still trying to get that piece to you ;) just gotta find one. Oh and what is the third pic of, a-pillars?

NewYorkJon34 12-29-2010 03:58 AM

Who's we? Last time I checked my boy Tony worked by himself. Or are you starting your own little business.
