He has done much amazing work over yhe course of my interior that me helping him get the word out is a friendly jesture. Tony has authorized me to discuss the parts but like i said, im not collecting funds and hes a good friend of mine. As you see from preious post in this thread, we have not released any additional information concerning prices and are finalizing last stage with the370.com and price sheet to began accepting requests. I am not in a business of my own and if I was, referring it to as " own little business" kind of sounds disrespectful considering you don't happen to know the slightest bit of information. If you have any issues or conflicts I advise you speak directly to Tony since I have no clue who you are. I'm a forum member/friend helping out the 370z commiunty. I'm tied up with my legal profession to own my own shop and do everything my self. Like anybody else, happen to have a hobby for carbon fiber and Z parts, especially 370z since I happen to own one lol.

This thread is simply to get a few pics out and allow the forums to gain a sense of knowledge about what we offer and answer any questions they may have. You simply not understanding how or where we met or what was what or what is what is has anything to the fact that thread is about carbon fiber parts and service... Not relationships, friends or other information you seem to more interested in. You obviously know Tony, so sure you have seen his amazing skill and work. Good guy and I'm helping him with rep threads for the parts he's done for me. Courtesy takes people a long way and things happen to change.

In for prices. Would be interested in the centre arm rest console bit too (if it's possible?)

Definitely available. I actual get that piece back this week or prehaps next week and can post pictures of pre install and installed. I thought that arnrest would allow the carbon fiber door inserts to flow better throughout the car. List should be done by today no later than Friday though.

NewYorkJon34 12-29-2010 10:30 AM

Yes I have known Tony a long time, I was the first to get most of his products in my car and have been supporting his business from day 1 by getting the word out for him of his amazing work & customer service. I just thought it was funny how you kept saying we like you were there making the parts with him, lol seibon has a big business making carbon fiber products, so how is little/side business disrespectful? And ya I def do know what I'm talking about, so good day sir :tiphat:

Carbon Fiber Element 12-29-2010 10:56 AM

Ill post some pics of the dash in the car when installed. I think that's going to be an eyesore for me because im going to stare at it most of the time im driving lol

KaienZ34 12-29-2010 12:02 PM

Looks very good great job...

Zuppy51 12-29-2010 12:31 PM

Interested as well, but not for my Nismo, for my Motorcycle.
Nice work by the way.

Some questions on the method to do this:

Is this cloth vacum bagged to remove air bubbles?
If not how do you go about ensuring none exist?
Also, how do you ensure it does not seperate from the stock plastic parts?

Reason I ask is that they are different hardness, and flexibility, if you say, lean against them hard enough, will it cause the outer shell to crack and or seperate from the base layer?

christian370z 12-29-2010 01:01 PM

I will start looking for a center dash trim piece (with the air conditioning vents) and will get in touch when I get it. Great work, the carbon looks perfect!

Chris_1 12-29-2010 03:30 PM

I would love to know how much this costs, I mean that is some seriously nice work. I am wondering what the turnaround time would be once you receive someones stock parts?

Nismo221 12-29-2010 03:43 PM

In for price of center dash peice

Carbon Fiber Element 12-29-2010 08:51 PM

To answer all questions....I don't vacuum bag. It makes it easier somtimes but not necessary. Multiple coats makes it possible to get no air bubbles. Even with a bag u can get some dimples too so not any better or worse end result. I've tried all the techniques. And pieces normally take about 2 weeks from start to finish, depending on how busy we r at the moment. PPlease PM for any prices or questions, its tough to keep up with the thread. Oh and pricelist coming soon

crash1369 12-29-2010 09:49 PM

I could be interested in the radio dash kit... I wish I hadn't already finished putting in the new radio, although it still isn't working right so it will have to come out at least once more anyway.

I would like to see some more pictures of it from the back, sides, etc so I can try and see how it compares to the one I just got from crutchfeild. Is that just somebody's dash kit covered in carbon fiber or is it a new piece? If it's recovered how much thicker does it get by adding another layer?

what I have works, but the knobs seems to be just the slightest bit sunken in from what they were, and if I could it would be great to have the radio fit flush without the extra trim ring. If both of these were met with your piece I would probably get one, pending a price of course?

NewYorkJon34 12-29-2010 10:11 PM

If you have an aftermarket headunit, you'll need to get the metra kit. Its not that much thicker with the carbon.

Carbon_z 12-30-2010 10:40 PM

Updated first page with additional pictures. Still need to put in the console pieces that our knees touch and passenger side door insert, along with engine cover. The Fed Ex guy in the evening so it was almost dark.

Pics show dirty car so please forgive lol... it was 10ish. i will post better pics with NO FLASH once i see the son. Also a price list going up in a minute. Will post the section and a link

NewYorkJon34 12-30-2010 11:10 PM

Damn that's alot of pieces, what's it like resting your arm on the carbon door panel?

Carbon_z 12-30-2010 11:42 PM

I just pooped a little when I saw the center console and cubby. They look fantastic.

Jamaica 12-31-2010 06:11 PM

Looks good. But anymore cf inside would overrkill it ...and I'm a cf whore.

Carbon_z 12-31-2010 06:22 PM

too much carbon fiber is never over kill ;) My old car, I had a carbon fiber headliner, dash, and other pieces. Other half of car was glazed and painted to make the car look like a two tone interior "one being a color other being carbon fiber"

But what ive done so far isnt too much.... Just simply replaced the factory leather areas with carbon fiber. Anybody else would have redone those areas with colored leather or cloth. Its not an eyesore whats so ever.

Jamaica 12-31-2010 06:24 PM

How about a all carbon fiber z?

christian370z 12-31-2010 06:27 PM

Wow. I am sold, can you also do a more satin clear to take away some of the shine while still letting some of the carbon fiber weave show through?

Carbon_z 12-31-2010 06:29 PM

lol I saw somebody on here with most of their Z in carbon. Tony actually has alot of carbon fiber on his 350z but there's a guy on the forums with a 370z, carbon fiber front bumper, rear, trunk i believe and i think mirror caps and hood. Other than fenders, quarter panels, roof and door thats almost there lol...

It would be fun to do something like that but i dont see it happening anytime soon.

Jamaica 12-31-2010 06:31 PM

I had the idea in my mind carbon fiber amuse with all the car in cf. I would do it.

Do you want satin or flat? The shine is basically like a clear coat and the FLASH on the camera makes it appear more. The clear enhances the dimensions of the weaves in my opinion. Kinda like looking through a nice shinny clean window.

Let me know if your looking for satin or more like flat

All of those panels that were replaced were aluminum right, with the exception of the doors did they really save any weight or was all that carbon fiber just for the look?

metz 01-01-2011 01:18 PM

Nice panels tonester, have you ever used any prepreg?

KaienZ34 01-01-2011 01:20 PM

Mostly for looks i'm guessing.

NewYorkJon34 01-01-2011 01:21 PM

I wish veilside made a wing like that for our cars, it would be a good replacement to the mine's set-up
