Ok so guys my Z is pretty much murdered out except the headlights. I am kinda skeptical about having them opened and painted cause i had some problems with that

Tinting my headlights
Ok so guys my Z is pretty much murdered out except the headlights. I am kinda skeptical about having them opened and painted cause i had some problems with that before on my old car. I know a lot of people have had the housing painted and had no problems but if i can just tint them id prefer that. Now my question is, with a 20% tint up front with my lights be visible at night? Cops here in Miami have given be problems about my tail lights so i cant imagine what they would say about my head lights being tinted.
