Random question, but why did they choose to integrate the rear fog light into it? The 350z's don't even come with them and I'm trying to get rid of mine

Random question, but why did they choose to integrate the rear fog light into it? The 350z's don't even come with them and I'm trying to get rid of mine so I'm not sure why they would want that. Personally, it'd look a lot cleaner without the rear fog, but that's just me.
