I bought this one in jan. 09 when i got my Z. It has held up just fine, i only thing i would say is do not put a dirty cover on any car clean or dirty. The reason i say that is a dirty cover or a cover with dirt on it can scratch the paint. Not the large noticeable kind but the kind called "swirl marks" you can't see them unless you get very close or do the light test. That's just when you take a close pic of the car and the light shows the small swirls. Here's a link...

Nissan makes a fitted cover for the Z as well. I don't have any personal experience with it.

The nissan fitted cover for inside use is the best I have personnally came across. Not only is it fitted and very soft as not to scratch but it comes with the z logo on the front. a bonus if you like that. I was able to go to a local nissan stealer and found that they had one in stock that someone had not picked up and was able to get it at cost. I Very highly recommend it to protect in a garage.

jay- i use to use a nice dust cover i bought from Griot's Garage for my G during the winter, but lately i dont use it at all. it was so that i dont get salt dust on my G.

i use to open the garage door during the winter time while taking the trash out or pulling out my other FF fun car at the time, but with 2 RWD cars + snow, i just take the trash out from the porch these days and leave the garage door closed throughout the winter. lol

I have my car covered with a California Car Covers Weathershield HP cover right now. They run about $300 but I think it will be worth it considering my old cheap cover ripped apart in the first snow storm last year.

Hopefully I'll get to uncover it sometime in the next month so I can start the car for a while. I'm pretty afraid of the frozen snow damaging the cover or scratching the car.

This one is for all weather, it's also fitted to the 370 so much that they have the with factory spoiler or without option. I don't have pics of my Z covered but, here's a friend's Z that has the same cover.

when i had the dust cover on, one of my crazy indian neighbors down the street asked me why my car was covered as if i stoled the car. he kept joking that cops will take my cover and car away, so i told him he should go drrive around in his green yaris.

I also have an all-weather one. It's from cover craft. It fits OK, not as well as the Nissan one for some reason.
I've found that you cannot use it on a car that is not clean. Or the wind will move it slightly and it will scratch the clear coat. Especially on the outside corners. I've had to buff them out 2x now. Before I realized what was doing it. Now, I wash the car almost everytime before I cover it, or I wipe it down with a cali duster first so there's no fine dust to scratch...
YMMV...

A lot of it will depend on what your requirements are for a cover. I need one to cover my car during the day in an outdoor parking lot in the SouCal sun. The car is garaged at night. I had a Covercraft Weathershield cover for my Infiniti G35 that was used almost daily for 4 years when parked outside at my place of employment. It did a really good job of keeping the dust off the car as there was a lot of construction going on nearby for about a year. It's also breathable and doesn't trap moisture underneath and was effective at keeping the sun from beating down on the paint and upholstery. The trick is keeping a good coat of wax on your car and using something like a California Car Duster to remove dust before covering it. The Covercraft covers are custom fit which in my opinion is important in breezy conditions. The generic size and cheap material covers will buffet and rub on the paint on any high edges. The Covercraft Weathershield also will roll up into a very compact package, important in a car like a Z with very limited storage space.
That model is not weatherproof, in other words not for use to keep rain off of the car if it's not to be driven for a while for example.
I just bought another Covercraft Weathershield for my 370Z and it fits perfectly. I expect similar good service from it. The downside ? They are not cheap. I paid about $275 including the little storage bag.
Check Covercraft's website, it has pretty good comparison charts for it's different models showing what their strengths and weaknesses are depending on what you need out of the cover.

My baby is covered with the Nissan inside cover. It fits perfectly and looks great!
