You should try to repair the damage first. It will be difficult to remove the lip once its on. You'll need to paint the Evo-R lip anyways. So if your looking to save some cash, do some of the work yourself. Sand down the area, fill (using bondo bumper repair), spray down primer and sand ready for paint. You could try using rattle can's or just have the shop paint it while you get the lip painted. The black "paint/primer" that's already on the Evo-R lip is not meant to be a top coat and scratches up/ chips rather easily. This site has all the materials you would need including paint.
