Default heated mirrors

Hi,

I really like the 370Z, but the lack of heated mirrors is a deal breaker for me. Does anyone have information (e.g. wiring diagrams) on how difficult it would be to retrofit G35 or 350Z mirrors?

Heated mirrors, as are electrical folding mirrors are already on the Japanese version of the 370Z. There is also a factory accessory that allows you to remotely fold the mirrors if you forget to do so while in the car.

The heated mirrors are activated when you push the rear window defroster button on the Japanese models.

Rear window defroster switch advice - Continuing, long haul please do not use. Because electric power consumption is large, it becomes cause of the battery failure. - When the rear window defroster switch is pushed, also the door mirror heater operates simultaneously.

Bump.

If someone can find heated side-view mirrors that fit the 370, an alternative is to splice them into the DC motor circuit that controls the mirror adjustments. My Audi used to have heated mirrors that were always 'on' when the ignition was on.

Is there a way to order these japanese parts???

2010 comes with heated mirrors. It would probably be best just to wait and see how much different the setup is and see if it can be put on the 09.

This is the perfect example of someone who shouldn't buy a Z. If heated mirrors are a dealbreaker. You should be buying a infiniti or bmw. Score one less for the enthusiast market.

I know its a old thread but I was looking for aftermarket folding mirrors when I read this. I just had to comment on its wackness.

Do you have more info about remotely fold mirrors? I'm really missing this on my Z.

Here's a video of the mirrors in action. I do not know their availability in Prague, but your dealer should:
