It was fabricated from NASA grade tungsten for use on compressors on the space station to convert carbon dioxide into drinking water. My boy made it and had it on his ride, but I made an offer on it and he sold it to me. Not only is it a unique knob shifter (the only one) but it is a conversation piece. Not only that but it doesn't weigh 300 grams. It doesn't weigh 400 grams. It doesn't weigh 500 grams. IT IS 6 GRAMS SHORT OF 800! A WHOPPING 794 GRAMS! It is almost two pounds and if I needed to, I could unscrew it and put it in my fist and call myself the one hitter quitter. It is that solid.

that's not very nice to say you have the best shift knob ever if it's not even available to the general public... boo that man!

I saw one of my 240 friend have this knob...
Interior, Dress-Up - More Japan :: Since 2003

It seems pretty cool even has the button thing. Not really sure how well it works though. I think that same site did a sale on them he told me that's where he bought it. Anyone know anything about that knob and the button thingee?

Question for you guys that have posted these pics...

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...d/IMG_0243.jpg

Where are you getting the knob seat? Is that something that comes with those knobs?

I'm about to order a new knob but I don't want the knob to sit on the leather boot.

Suggestions?

CCastro 10-31-2010 03:36 AM

For the first one, the PW JDM knob comes with a collar that lets is sit nicely on the boot... thats why i like it so much

CharBoiler 10-31-2010 02:35 PM

The second one is from Zeetoys. Can't remember which I got but they have an Aluminum and Stainless version

TypeOne - thank you VERY much for asking the question about knob seats. I just switched out my shift knob and have a gap that I hate. That is exactly what I wanted to know.

CCastro and CharBoiler - Thank you for the responses. Zee Toys looks great!!
