SickSpeed: White Ol' Skool Shift Knob w/ Black Lettering. Amazon Listing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Showing Unavailable at present, but there are other options from SickSpeed. |
Since the Hebi Bebi is discontinued, and it seems like TWM and Password are both gone, what are the new suggestions for a weighted knob? I can't seem to find anything that is nice with a decent weight. The Momo Nero looks nice, but is light.

GRFXP is the best option
1.4lbs/635g fits perfectly in hand affordable problem is stock i've found is absurdly limited it may be easier to overpay for a TK |

Got this in the mail today. 600g. Havent swapped it in yet though.
https://us.wearelikewise.com/products/the-daytona-pro I got it in black with a shift boot retainer to help it sit better. |
Forgot if I posted here about it, so maybe playing like a broken record....but I did the Hebi Bebi. Drank that Kool-Aid, and it's been feeling like the last knob I'd ever need.
Went with the PW JDM knob at first. Nice weight, just so happened to align perfectly for me without any shims, but still tall and I noticed I just grabbed closer to the base over time so I could feed shifts more reliably. Then did the Nismo Ti. Really cool piece. Catered to to the whole "tactile" feel for the shift gates. The clunks were getting old, and sometimes casual shifts would slip because there's nothing to the shape or surface. The TK knob just gave me a bit of everything. I didn't even bother mounting it face-forward. Just flush as possible. |
I don't know if it is going to be the best, but I just ordered the new Vision knob in red from Raceseng. I already have the weighted Contour knob from them.

madwi, I am also interested in the difference in feel between a weighted short knob and a taller light weight knob.

I got my Vision knob and put it on yesterday. It is outstanding. It is comfortable, it fits my hand nicely, has good leverage, the cutouts are interesting and gives a different feel under acceleration. The Contour knob was nice, but this is much better to me. The red gives a nice bit of color, too.

So I have the Z1 Motorsports M-Spec Shift Knob Kit and my wife and I are not fans of it at all.. mainly because the top of the knob is sharp when you grab it (both my wife and I are over the top type grabbers) and it becomes very uncomfortable to use.
https://cdn.z1motorsports.com/images...Knob-3433.webp Anyone on here USED to have the Z1, and went to a knob that they thought was better? I'm half thinking of just getting an OEM knob but they are $$$ for a new one; plus I've never driven on an OEM one so not 100% sure I would enjoy it any more than the Z1. Any advice is welcome on what I might want to replace the Z1 with! |

To add to the above advice, I like the OEM know, other than it is too tall. So if you are not able to find a Raceseng you like, the Hebi Bebi knob or it's copy (see my post 373) is the best knob (IMO) for both over the top shifters, as you it it short, fits welt into the palm and has the edges to grab with your fingers. These things are very subjective of course. |
Has anybody tried the 350z shift knob? I cant seem to find any pictures of one installed. It seems a bit wider and thicker than ours. (insert joke here)
I actually like the imprinted gears on the knob. I would hate to buy another oem just to have it wear down in a few years again. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/00...g?v=1534367301 |
I have not seen one used.
