looking at this thread... DIY: Interior LED Color Change

i can see that the silver part is removeable entirely seperate from the cluster. It seems that it wouldnt be all that difficult of a task to have this part painted? That would eliminate the silver around the edges of the overlay etc....

Is there something that I am not considering (aside from the ability to return it to stock)?

What I can't tell from that is wether the orange part is removable so that you don't paint over it.

thats the one question i have left before i try it. i might PM the guy working on it to see what he says. I would think that since he is changing all the interior light colors, that the orange panel would have to come out otherwise its going to discolor whatever he puts behind it?

I thought that too when I read the DIY for the LED color change.
I may attempt to pull it apart in the near future and see also.
