What is up with wrinked cargo mats?

Have had my car for over a year and never had this problem, for what it's worth. I would fold them in the opposite direction, then put some weight over them. Let it sit for a day or so and then straighten them back out. Being held in the opposite direction should help.

Also, Monty's idea of ironing sounds like it may work as well.
