Default GPS Dashmount Recommendations

I'm tired of my Garmin suction cup falling from my windshield, so I'm looking for something that mounts onto the dash. Knowing our 370z, we lack room on the driver side. I want to know if anyone had tried out those friction pads and how well do they stay put. I'm just doubtful that those friction pads are going to stay in place. I've seen kenchan and modshack's version of mounting thier garmin nuvis, but I would like to keep my gps more in eye level by the steering wheel gauges instead of in the cubby area.

What do you think of the Scosche?
