those quick splice are really bad. where they splice in, they cut up some of the strands, reducing the effective wire gauge where the splice is... which is compound bad

those quick splice are really bad. where they splice in, they cut up some of the strands, reducing the effective wire gauge where the splice is... which is compound bad since you are adding a new circuit off it. they work fine for some stuff, but dont ever use them for anything serious! and if the circuit ever goes dead, they should be the first place you look for troubleshooting.
