Default Hood latch adjustment

The gap from the bumper and the hood on my car is uneven. The gap on the side near my right headlight is larger than the left. Also, when I push down on that side there is a little bit of give. When I push down on the left side there is no give at all. I was wondering if there was anyway to adjust the hood latch to bring down the right side of the hood a little bit more to make the gap more even.

sounds like your hood is not latching completely. drop the hood from good 18" and see if it shuts. there are 2 latches one on each side that need to latch completely...otherwise you get a crooked hood look.

yeah mine does that sometimes too. What I do is close the hood about 80%, then use a microfiber in each hand to push both sides evenly, but firmly. I freaked out when I first saw it too.. I was like "noooooooo just like my damn 350 these cars have #$(*@#$ing hood fitment issues"

haha

No they are boh latched properly. The gap whenthey are closed is off by a couple of millimeters...not inches. It's just annoying to look at it even though 85% of people would nver notice haha

I figured out how to do it. The latches on the hood can be adjusted it you take the plastic piece off of them and twist

Yup....you should be able to get a perfect closing gap with a little adjustment there. Remove the covers (plastic pin retainer) and screw in or out.
