Default Stickers on front bumper and hood?

Hey everyone, as the result of an accident I had about a month ago, I'm going to have to replace my front bumper and hood. My question is, there is a black VIN sticker on the bottom of the hood and also one on the top of the bumper. These are also on the door and various other parts I assume. Once I get my new bumper and hood on, I'd like to have these. Would it be possible to order these from Nissan? I know several of you have replaced your bumpers and hoods, so hopefully you can help me out.

Thanks

If you dont mind spending some money.... here ya go ECS Automotive Concepts - Late Model Replacement VIN Door Decals Keep in mind there are also local independent businesses that also specialize in vin plaques, it just depends if youre willing to buy or not.

Interesting...how did they do it? Did they just use a heat gun to remove them and then reapplied them on the new bumper?

Yeah, I'm going to have to give this a try. I still can't believe these are on every body piece and you can't order them, lol.

Well....since they are technically "Anti-theft Labels" it would sorta defeat their purpose if readily available!

I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume that they would be available from Nissan with proof of ownership, I see no reason that they shouldn't be. It is what it is though I guess....

I'm glad you brought this up OtaconZ, I've been wondering the same exact thing. To me, it would seem that if you replaced the front bumper for any reason and didn't have this sticker, it could easily detriment resale value. What's more surprising is it seems that 99% of the people who have replaced their bumpers haven't transferred these over nor gotten new ones...

besides being anti theft it seems to be a good indicator of if parts were changed from original. thats y those "concourse" competitions always stress original stickers and all that. cuz if ur in an accident like you were that could reduce residuals.

FYI otacon, I tried taking mine off with a heat gun and it looks like it's going to be near impossible. The sticker is just too thin to take off while keeping it's integrity.
