I was just looking on Stillen's website and came across the product.. Front Canard and Splitters...

Ill post a picture in a second but the Lip is actualy really nice and I havent seen it or atleast I dont think I have..

Does anyone have it, and any other pics from different angles than the picture they provide ?

Its priced nicely too.

I saw this in the latest Modified Mag, Looks pretty damn good. I might have to do this one instead of the full front fascia!

theDreamer 05-02-2010 06:04 PM

Looks, interesting, sort of reminds me of old Irish side burns from that angle.

azn370z 05-02-2010 06:11 PM

Nice, stillen got rid of the front vents and the little side wings.

370Z JT 05-02-2010 06:16 PM

Dang that lip does look nice! Better than the Stillen front fasica in my opinion.

Does anyone know if the Stillen splitter is the same thickness as the original lower strip? I wouldn't want it to scrape more the the one I have on now...

370Z JT 05-02-2010 10:02 PM

not bad...but I prefer the Top Secret or Fujimura front lip.

Some lips could be a little nicer but the price of this one is very apealing.. I just may order it from there site tomorrow. Im going to give them a call...

The splitters I am notsure of but the lip def works for me... Id love to see it paint matched on a PW or even the red.

DannyGT 05-02-2010 10:52 PM

Can we get some further away shots + side one's as well. Much nicer than their original designs, thats for sure!

docaam 05-02-2010 11:51 PM

Id like to see it paint matched PW as well, but the only prob is it's made outta that urethane, and after the nightmare me & my friend (seeyabud86) went through, Id say we're done with it.

m4a1mustang 05-04-2010 02:45 PM

Splitter looks nice! I would like to see some pics of it without the canards.

Also, not quite sure how the canards would do at high speed as they look to be attached with adhesive tape.

Caravanshaka 05-04-2010 02:52 PM

 for splitter...not so much on the canards IMO

now that i look at it, the canards make the front end look like a catfish :rofl2:

NewYorkJon34 05-04-2010 05:00 PM

The canards also make it look rice, IMO of course

Functionality is never rice to me. BUT, they are pretty large canards.
I also don't see how they are put on? Screws on the inside of the bumper? Can't be just tape.

theDreamer 05-04-2010 05:59 PM

STILLEN : STILLEN 370Z Front Splitter & Canards
Double sided tape & 6 (3 each side) self taping screws.

I suppose your right, but to me it would be like driving with a huge functional wing. Sure it helps, but looks pretty funny (rice-ish). If that makes sense, lol

On a street car, I agree, they would look stupid. But they'd look good on a race car.

I really want to see some pictures of the splitter without the canards. :)

chuckd05 05-04-2010 06:41 PM

I have went ahead and ordered the front splitter ( or Lip )

The canards are not my cup of tea but I am a fan of the lip for sure..

I am going to take pictures of it on my car unpainted and installed and than paint matched to my PW and installed...

As far as the material, with as low as this car sits, I would not consider any fiberglass lip. I have no problems with urethane constuction. I am lowered on eibachs so I am a touch concerned with driveways n such but I dont think I wont be able to manage.

Gotcha. Was gonna say, no way only tape was holding those down.

Haha, I hear you. Kinda wish functional aero upgrades (canards, wings, splitters) didn't get the bad wrap because a couple of 90hp Civic DX's in the 1990's decided to put them on.

I don't really think that's the problem. Any car guy can tell the difference between a pep-boys ricer wing and a functional race wing. It just looks "wrong" on a street car, IMO. Wings and crazy vents and other aero bits as well as graphics and decals belong on the track... a cleaner look is more "appropriate" for the street.

This, of course, is all my personal opinion.

m4a1mustang 05-04-2010 06:53 PM

Someone from Stillen needs to get in here and post more pictures! I know they have them!!!!

I certainly see that point. And I'm not down with people putting on canards and wings who never see a track. I was just saying, people who track their daily drivers shouldn't have to put up with being lumped into the "ricer" category when they are doing it for a functional purpose. Hard to remove a wing and canards during the weekdays unless you want to drive around with holes in your car. But, I guess we differ there. And that's cool.

It's really no big deal. You'd have to be a major d-bag to go up to a guy like Mike and tell him he's a ricer because he runs a functional race wing on a car that sees the track a lot. I sure as hell wouldn't think that.

And usually it's pretty easy to tell who's real and who's not. If I ever saw a hellaflush car with a huge track wing on it'd be pretty obvious that it's all show.

SophiaZ 05-04-2010 08:18 PM

What is the purpose of these?!!!! They look cool, but don't look like a performance mod

Oh they are very much a performance mod... granted you don't see the benefit driving around town. But for a car that sees track time, the front splitter and canards generate down force for added grip.

I def want to see pics of that, maybe even black out the fangs & the middle section of the lip.
