For the track guys, I wonder how functional both of these mods are. Hopefully someone from Stillen can chime in. Also, any under pics of the splitter and how does it attach to the car?

They should be pretty functional. The splitter is nice and flat, which is important, and the canards are plenty large enough to catch enough air.

Bster 05-05-2010 11:07 PM

It looks kinda round... I'd prefer something more angular to match with the lines of the car...

Ricochet48 05-06-2010 01:39 PM

I would love to see these if CF on a white Z with the EVOR (sp?) CF fang overlay. That would be very aggressive looking imo.

I dont like it.

chuckd05 05-06-2010 11:04 PM

Well , We will see what it looks like on white without the canards... which IMO make it look a little whacky...

I'll post pics when I get it on Unpainted. And at that point make my decision on painting it or not...

Knives 05-20-2010 07:19 PM

Has anybody installed the splitter?
Pics? Thoughts?

Zeester 05-21-2010 02:08 PM

I have it and i installed it, I ran into an issue with fitment on the passenger side though. I was wondering if anyone who has it is experiencing this too.

I will post pics a little bit later, only one I have right now is a cell phone shot.

Zeester 05-21-2010 02:16 PM

Heres a pic... sorry for the quality, I will need to take better ones, but overall its a nice looking addition to the front end of the car, not too much, not too little...

I look forward to the pictures.

teejnut 05-22-2010 01:47 AM

how much ground clearance is lost would you say? and how does the lip attach to the bumper?

Zeester 05-22-2010 04:38 AM

Its about as low as the OEM sport package front lip, maybe slightly higher. Only thing is this thing sits out more, whereas the chin spoiler was more lower to the ground.

chuckd05 05-22-2010 09:30 AM

My shop said the fitment wasn't perfect and I was supposed to take pics of it. But I haven't been able to get back to the shop yet.

Zeester is there a gap in between the points at either side of the fangs?

RCZ 05-22-2010 12:37 PM

Better pics please I'm debating this vs the whole fascia!

NewYorkJon34 05-22-2010 02:06 PM

Need some better pics, It would def help most of us that are still unsure.

My problem is on the passenger side of the lip where it touches the bumper curve, the fang fitment is excellent. I think it might need screws or something, I really need to get it fixed, it really sucks cuz Stillen is known for good parts and fitment, and im not sure if its a defect or not...

Zeester 05-23-2010 04:50 PM

Heres a pic of the issue im referring to, as you can see, I had to double up on the 3M tape just to get the gap closed but its falling off and im running out of options on what to do, only thing i can think of is to put screws

http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...a/PassSide.jpg

And heres a slightly better pic of the lip from a farther distance... I will take better pics with a better camera today after I wash the car

I can't see anything on my iPhone. I think you have to use the flash or take the pic in sunlight.

Are you telling me that whole thing is held on by 3m tape?

+1 on this question.

m4a1mustang 05-24-2010 07:41 AM

There is no way it's only held on by two sided tape!!!

Zeester 05-24-2010 12:08 PM

Double sided tape and it comes with 10 self tap screws, I dont know where the heck you would put 10 screws on this thing, but thats what it comes with.

Mine is held on my double sided molding tape and 4 screws in the front wheel wheels where it hugs the bumper (2 per side)

Zeester, I'm going to go out on a whim here and say you should have installed it with more than 4 screws. If you spaced the screws out along the bumper, you should have a more secure and snug fit. As good as the 3M tape is, I don't consider it a replacement for the secure fit a screw can provide.

Maybe I missed it, and I certainly can't tell from the pictures, but is the spoiler simply too far from the bumper? If that's the case, then I'll agree that there are fitment issues.

Agreed. 4 screws isn't enough!
