Haha. The only thing is, after it crosses a certain level - a threshold if you will - the hatch will go flying up like a catapult. So I guess the dampers are stronger than the stock ones. Just gotta make sure there are no small animals, like kittens for example, napping on your rear hatch when you open it, or else...

Hahaha! . That's how it was on my hood damper until it was broken in. Keep cycling it and it should get rid of air bubbles or watever and settle down.

which plastic cover? and what's 'those things?' you sound like some obasan.

if you're talking about the battery cover surround piece there's 4 tabs and you need to take the cover off in order to access the 2.

the rears look nice but I can't see why you'd change them out and pay for a part that offers no advantage over the stock piece.

I have to agree with you. Even for car show junkies like me the rear shocks are hard to justify the change. X2

The hood dampers are a different story though.

Yeah, I know it's hard to justify changing out the rear dampers, and I can't really explain it either. I guess it's because I open the hatch quite often - I need to throw my briefcase, book-bag and gym-bag in there on a near-daily basis, I'll get see the dampers everyday, so why not?

And since the packaging came with the parts necessary for setting up the hood dampers, when I'm done with this school semester, I can throw the stock rear dampers onto the front

lol with all the carbon I already have I don't think the dampeners add or take away anything. Regardless if I had the $ lying around I'd jump on it they do look nice.
