looking at the slight bulge i had yesterday, this am it's pretty much gone. the plastic cover settled in quite a bit (6mm down from the fender cover ledge).
also after about 20 cycles opening/closing it seems the damper is broken in and it opens more consistently than before...meaning it's not an abrupt pop open to punch you in the chin. :D im happy with it. im just going to leave it be for now. :p thanks again ryan! |
No problem man. Glad things worked out. thanks for the review.
Looked over the packaging also. Everything is good now. oh and btw i looked at our Z and there is no buldge...:happydance: You need the rears also! another review maybe LOL |

Haha I just ordered the rears this morning; I can do a review when I get them:tiphat:

I'll prob order the front since it's an improvment & looks cool, but what's the point of the rears if we already have it stock? I'm guessing it's just for looks, or does it weight less? Is it real carbon fiber btw?
|
good. means I don't need to do a DIY now.
I will have to do this when my parents are out because my dad would kill me if he saw I cut a piece of the car |

all yours, buddy! :tiphat: Quote:
yah, it's an aesthetic thing. i dont plan on doing the rears. i RARELY open the hatch anyway. i dont use the car during the week so... the CF is real CF, i think. it's like a millimeter thick and they look real nice. Quote:

spacers on the ball joint post but only helps marginally. http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...fender-lip.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...r-lip-down.jpg the root cause of the rubbing is the damper housing is still rubbing the battery cover surround... this you'd need to make a new bracket for the hood side, i thinks. updated the DIY section as well. :) |
These problems are really starting to scare me
|
Because you're a novice wimp? :D
We need to change your name to Virgin-kun. Hahaha ;) Fitment issues is normal for modding cars. Doing work arounds is usual stuff. After I bent that lip ledge thingie down its been a lot better. If you remove the battery cover id be even better. I might just remove the battery cover and surround all together, but keep the rubber seal strip as is. The damper is very convenient for me cause I pop the hood often to connect my battery manager during the week. :p |
