Hey guys, WE ARE NOT OUT OF STOCK on the fronts. Sorry web site issues. we are fixing it now :)
If i could get a count on how many people want black i can see what i can do as far as making them. Ryan |
Well I would have been one of them wanting black, but I just need these and hopefully they will match my Password JDM pieces.
Well, I just got an email saying mine are shipping. :D |

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...-installed.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...installed2.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...installed3.jpg this is all that i cut on both sides. screw for reference. just use a utility knife. http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...509-cutout.jpg the LEFT and RIGHT marking is reversed... use the RIGHT for your LEFT and LEFT for your RIGHT. http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...e14507-kit.jpg i wonder why... ;) http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...e14508-huh.jpg watch out, the piston housing is too big and hits this area (red arrow)... you need to enlarge the holes that hold the plastic cover and move it towards the center of the car so that the cover does not latch over the ledge coming off the fender panel (blue arrow) http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...-hits-area.jpg otherwise you end up with a delicious bulge... http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...4511-bulge.jpg after the fix it's still rubbing somewhere but it's acceptable level. :) no one can tell it's very slighly pushed up. http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...ght-bulge2.jpg another angle. http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...4540-final.jpg i would definitely NOT recommend this damper for CF hoods. it's a high spring rate unit vs others ive tried on different cars. as far as opening width, it doesn't open as wide as the factory post location so you wont be able to use your post again unless you remove the dampers off. im pretty happy with it. :D |
a few more picts in the DIY... here
|
Kenchan thanks for the write up and the pictures. Not sure I like the slight hood buldge though. I never had any issues like that with my CTD dampers on my 350Z.
|
Im going to check our 370z. We couldnt find any rubbing. deff going to look for this tomorrow. good review, will be passing this off to the tech guys so they can look over a few things.
Both suby and nissan use the same length damper. I will be looking at the packaging tomorrow. |
