Default Some Nice Mods for the Nismo - Pics

Just a quick couple pics here. I think they work well with the car. Brings out the Nismo Emblems a bit more.

So here is with the DIY:

Picture of all items. Except the Abrasive sponge or sandpaper. Everything can be bought at Wal-Mart

Items Needed for Rear end NISMO painting of Emblem.

1. Blue Tape
2. Flat Black Paint (Krylon)
3. Banner Red Paint (Krylon)
4. Gloss Clear Coat (Krylon)
5. Tweezers
6. Scissors
7. Rough side of sponge, or soft sandpaper

Additional Items Needed for the Rims:
You will need all the above items. Minus the Red and Black Spraypaint. Those are replaced with Brush on

1. Scratch Fix Paint Victory Red
2. Sractch Fix Paint Flat Black
3. Razor blade with handle

Starting the Rear Emblem:

1. Clean Surface to remove dirt.
2. Tape off the area. Cut sections of tape to get in the small gaps, and position with tweezers. Make sure to slide under emblem.
3. Start applying the paper, or plastic over the spray area. It is large so you may want to do the whole rear bumper.
4. Once it is all taped off, use the abrasive pad, and just gently go over the emblem.
5. Apply primer, let dry and apply more until complete.
6. Tape off the O. So you do not paint it black.
7. Paint the NISM. Make sure to change spray direction so you get all sides.
8. After letting the black dry. take off the Tape to the O and tape over black. ( if not dry tape will stick to it )
9. Paint the 0 Red.
10. Take tape off of the black, now both colors should be complete.
11. Ensure they are both dry. Now clear coat it.
12. Take razor blade along edge of tape and emblem to split the paint from tape so it will not peel the paint off when you pull off tape.
13. Remove and look at the new colors!

Painting the Nismo Wheels

First off, if your thinking about spraypainting them. I have tried it. Taped off the rims, cut out and painted. However the paint just flaked out. So use the method I have in detail, it is not the fastest. But it will get it done to my standards. Which are pretty tough.

1. Clean area
2. Use abrasion tool to clean the NISMO part out.
3. ( You can decide to prime if you want, I didn't ) Due to the process in wrapping the wheels and taping off.
4. This part is all to be done with hand. do not tape off the area. ( if you tape off you run into peeling, which will result in doing it by hand anyway)
5. Brush on the letters. If you go outside the lines. You and wipe it off, or use your fingernail to make a straight edge.
6. If it still refuses to move, gently rub the razor blade on it. The non razor side.
7. Repeat this many of times until every letter one every tire is complete. It is very painful. Took me a span of 3 days to finish.
8. Tape off the area, and apply gloss to the letters. And it is complete!

Step 8 In Rims: Tape off area to apply Gloss coating.
