Default Scraped up Sport front chin spoiler? Easy fix

My front chin spoiler was looking pretty rough and I finished it off today when I parked during lunch. Came close to the curb and the chin got pushed back and when I backed out I heard it scrape bad. I got pretty upset as I thought I actually scraped the bumper. Lucky for me it was just the chin. It was gnawed bad. Looked like complete crap. I know a lot of you have the same problem. But in the short time I have owned my Z it was pretty bad! It came with some scrapes when I bought it (must of happened during test drives!) I was thinking of just getting a new one, but at $140+ S/H? And this will keep happening! Well I decided to see if I could fix it. Thought I might be able to sand it down a bit and spray paint it for a cheap fix. Got some sand paper, 200 grit to start off. Sanded horizontally all over the chin and it really was working! Then went 400 grit. Did the lower part too and got all the shreds off. Got it all nice and smooth. Then hit it with 1000 grit. It looks great now! No need to paint! I even hit it with some armor all and this just works. But I know it will get scratched up again so I may have to do this again... Now I just have to be more careful!

edit: First two pics are not mine, but just to give you an idea of what it looks like. Mine was way worse!
