battery is still good, the car is about 8-9 months old. i can have the key right next to the handle and it still wouldn't reed, but the door unlocks

battery is still good, the car is about 8-9 months old. i can have the key right next to the handle and it still wouldn't reed, but the door unlocks if i use the fob to unlock it. when i get the error inside the car, it'll work after i lock and unlock using the fob or if i stick it into the fobgina. this started several months ago, but is starting to get pretty bad so initially i thought it was a fluke.
