While clear bra protects your finish.. does it not at the same time destroy the finish by not letting the paint breath and get washed regularly.. does it not after a while dull that paint compared to the rest of the vehicle?

When you wash the car... your not washing the paint.. your washing the clear bra. Anywayz.. call me a fool but like the rest of you i just dropped a tone of $$$$$ to get this vehicle and i would hate to do something to it that is not needed or that i might regret.

Will this car really attract that many stone chips? Because i can live with a couple.

No regrets at all, but I only did the front bumper. After one year it looks brand new!

No regrets. It is barely noticeable and I feel more calm driving in the highway knowing that it is there.

As long as you don't have unrealistic expectations, you'll be happy with it. It will def help minimize larger chips and the like. But don't be fooled by those that say that it's impervious to damage.

I am abosolutely sold on this product. I've had the 3M clear bra on my Toyota Tundra now for 3 years and over 30,000 miles. My front end looks as new as the day i drove it off the lot - not a single stone chip any where. I have gotten caught many times on the interstate behind semis/trucks kicking up stones and could hear them bouncing off my windshield. Did i say not a single chip in my paint! Had the bra on my 06 350Z for over a year before i traded it - same deal. My 09 370Z is scheduled to get done next week. Nothing looks worse than a front bumper full of stone chips. My GF has an 06 Eclipse and has a few spots on her hood that are already starting to rust because of stone chips. Just do it! You will not regret it.

Here are some pics. I am an installer and I have to admit some of your worries/concerns I have never heard before. The clear bra protects the paint, does not dull it, and in fact will keep it looking perfect. This product has been on the market for well over 15 years and if there were any issues like you are worried about film companiies would no longer be in business. Your paint underneath the film will not have scratches, exposure to the elements, and any daily wear such as bugs, bird droppings, and so on getting to it. Its a great investment and you will be very happy you got it.

I do not regret getting mine. I'm much more relaxed now when I drive my Z, knowing it's safe from damage. Touch up any nicks or chips before installation. HOWEVER, make sure the installer leaves no little air/water bubbles in yours. Examine it very. very carefully before you pay and leave. I have a few of these little bubbles in mine. Installer says it will cure and the summer heat will eliminate them. I'm not very happy about that. Otherwise, the clear bra is hardly visible. Anyway, anyone who is nosey enough to examine your car and notice the clear bra, will simply realize you care about your car. It's a great protection item. Subject to my prior caveat, go for it.
