The issue with lambo doors is not the style of opening the door, I think it is a fantastic way and great in city driving.
The issue I have with people just slapping it on any car is it does not flow with the style of the car; the reason it works on a lambo or others is because of the door design and over all style of the car.

I agree!! ^^

Only one company I would consider, "LSD" has hinges that are as strong or stronger then stock!

Most aftermarket kits require opening the door like normal, then lifting. Not really right if you compare to the real thing.

I dont think they look that bad but I would honestly never waste over $2k just so my doors open like that..I wouldnt really spend any money on it, just a waste of time and theres no point to it.

If it wouldn't add so much weight (and needed ground clearance), I would love to have these doors:

Not another one of these threads. WTF is the rage with scissor doors?

I thought about it but the reality is that over time the hinges will break down. You can't bolt on hinges that will hold up better than factory. So while it might look nice, if durability and reliability are sacrificed I'll pass.

Doesn't make sense! You can indeed reinforce anything if you want!! Your statement actually is false! It is possible!! The stock hinges on all cars fail in time also!! I have to adjust doors on old cars that come into the dealership all the time! (which are bolted to the car)

Look into the LSD website! This company's product is TUV approved which is tougher then DOT here in US.

Plus have you looked at our door hinges and the door weight and thickness??? Hope no one in a 370Z ever get's T boned!

Not that I'm looking to get Lambo doors mind you!
