I also have this problem with my 2010 Roadster and have used the key fob port to start the car for years. I am very accustomed to putting the "key"

I also have this problem with my 2010 Roadster and have used the key fob port to start the car for years. I am very accustomed to putting the "key" in the "slot" to start the car that it feels quite normal.
I was told that the antenna located in the center console is the problem but I never felt the need to take it out and replace it. Hope this helps with your concerns, if it starts just drive it -
