Default Electric Help Needed: Gauge Needles Not Illuminating, Trip Mileage Resetting, etc.)

I am stuck. I would really appreciate some troubleshooting help, or even better if someone else has had the same issue and knows the fix.

Here are the issues that have all come up at the same time:
  • Gauge needles will not light up (tachometer, speedometer, triple: oil temp & volt). The gauge’s background lights up and the needles accurately move, but the needles just wont light up.
  • Trip mileage odometer (A & B) zeros out every time I turn off the car.
  • OBDII port no longer powering EcuTec Bluetooth Adapter dongle.
  • HomeLink system (rearview mirror) no longer functioning (constant green light on mirror and no response to HomeLink use or reset or reprogram).

I have visually checked all fuses and relays. Will try voltmeter testing each one soon.

Full disclosure, I recently took out my stock triple gauges and upgraded to some nice ProSports. I thought that may be the issue, so hooked up the stock triple gauge cluster again to hopefully fix it all by retoring the wiring that is now disconnected, but that did not fix anything. Issues continued, and now see that the needles on the triple (oil temp & volt) also do not illuminate with headlights lighting.

I am suspecting that some constant power source is now no longer working.

I have tested all the pins on my OBDII port, and below are the details of the test.

Can anyone tell me what their properly-working OBDII port pins test as? I assume some pin should be giving constant 12V power.

Using this diagram, I’ll explain my findings in the numbered list below.

  1. Not wired.
  2. Not wired.
  3. Not wired.
  4. Black wire (thin).
  5. Black wire (thick).
  6. Blue wire. Constant voltage, but only about 2 volts. Similar to #14.
  7. Purple wire. Accessory power (ignition “On”), with 12 volts.
  8. Green wire. Accessory power (ignition “On”), with 12 volts.
  9. Not wired.
  10. Not wired.
  11. Not wired.
  12. Not wired.
  13. Not wired.
  14. Pink wire. Constant voltage, but only about 2 volts.
  15. Not wired.
  16. Yellow wire.

Can anyone please help me with a properly-working OBDII port pins test results that I can compare against?

I figured out my issue. I have seen the pullout switch in the center of the fuse block (Junction Box), but I did not know it's purpose, nor did I know it had a fuse in there. :-(

My bad for not being curious enough.

I have not yet confirmed it, but I believe the #16 (Yellow Wire) is the one that should have had the constant 12V power.
