Default Carbon Fibre Steering Wheel

Hi guys,

For those that replaced their stock steering wheel with the carbon fibre/leather one, did you have an issue with the horn?

Horn still works however I have to push it down a lot harder in the top right of the centre steering wheel in order to get the horn activated. Have pulled off the centre steering wheel to make sure all cables/clips are plugged in correctly but still the same issue.

Horn is still functioning just have to push it down a lot harder.

Any ideas?

Have read might have to replace the clockspring but as the steering wheel buttons still work and horn still works, not quite sure if the clockspring is the issue.

Thanks

I changed mine a while ago, but I remember having to tighten/loosen the 2 bolts inside the wheel housing for that metal bracket that you transfer from the oem to the CF one. I remember them being roughly pressure sensitive when pushing the plate down.

Fixed it.

The previous owner didn't transfer the 2 little small metal things over.

Transferred it over and it's working flawlessly now
God-Speed and Tractionless like this.
