Default open gas door without battery ( or keyfob problem)

Hi everybody,

I want to know if it is possible to open gas door without battery or keyfob problem for unlock door.

on manual, I read this :

. Insert the mechanical key into the door lock
cylinder and turn it to the rear of the vehicle.

But when I use mechanical key, I just unlock the drive side door.

any ideas please ?

Thank you

Huh, does the gas door not just pop open when you press on the side closest to the rear of the vehicle?

From what I know is that the car just has to be unlocked. Doesn't matter if you unlock it by remote button or by mechanical key. If the car is unlocked, you should be able to push the gas door in and have it pop open.

it's very weird, when the key fob was working I had no problem. Since the problem with keyfob, I can’t open gas door

Looks like you have to unlock with key fob on you and button on door handle, key fob itself, or the unlock button inside the car. Looked like in your video it should have worked when you got in and unlocked. Very strange. I went to try mine but quickly realized I had the CF door handle covers so I can’t simulate.

Try turning key once towards rear of vehicle (unlocks driver door) let it return to neutral & turn a second time towards rear & that should unlock errthing else

Thanks all for your response

I have a problem with my keyfob for unlock/door. I use fobgina for start the engine.

The button inside the car doesn’t work ( maybe because of my keyfob problem ? )

I already try this ( to turn a second time the key manually) and it doesn’t unlock passenger door and gas door...

I am very disappointed with this car

The gas door locks and unlocks with the rest of the car (similar to the hatch). If you can unlock the car then the gas lid should be unlocked unless the pin is stuck. I'd try JC's suggestion above, but if you can't unlock the passenger door and hatch because the battery is dead then you'll need to replace the battery to get in the gas lid.

I will try it next week, but in France Nissan haven’t knowledge on Nissan 370Z and GTR. We haven’t lots of sports cars.... ( most of sports cars from German brand )
The US is a paradise for sports cars.
You are lucky

It doesn't matter that it's a Z. Just that it's a Nissan. All the keys are the same other than the logo or extra buttons. If the tech can fix the keys on a Sentra they can do the same on a Z.

Have you checked the fuses? I'm not sure if the locks have a fuse or not but it would be worth checking.

I agree with you. Maybe I need to go another Nissan dealer. I try it Tuesday ( I don't have a lot of gasoline in the tank :O )

I did some research and couldn't find a fuse for it.

This makes no sense. If they are an authorized Nissan dealer, they should be competent in addressing their product issues.

In regards to your issue, there are a few other threads regarding this. Try lubricating, as this seems to be the common fix. Otherwise, replacement is the other option, though I've read this is quite a task from the removal of several parts.

You beat me to it lol. With his logic, that means Canada/US/Mexico are the same. We might as well as add Central American and South America to it since we are all connected.

I don't think the door have a problem with lubricating. The problem come from feybob, it's doesn't work and mecanical key does't unlock all door.

When I say Canada as same as US, it's for automotive sector

I should have said North America to avoid this misunderstanding
