Dwight, I would connect it like this:
Pin 2: Accessory Power Pin 8: Ground (at nearest bolt on the frame) Pin 6: Power from the nearby switch light Pin 7: Jumper to pin 8 Pins 2 & 8 will light up the person on the seat when the button is pressed because it will connect pin 2 to pin 3 when pushed. This is connected to accessory power so it will light up anytime you press it (if your key is in ACC or ON). Alternatively, you could connect this to pin 6. Then it will only light up if the your headlights are on when you press it. Pin 6 & 8 will light up the text whenever your other switches are lit up. If you decided to use this for something.
