I ran that harness and left it plugged in, but when I disconnected it, I didn’t see where it changed anything.
I have to play around with it today to see if I can figure out what it's for as well.

The little sheet just showed where you are supposed to find install guide, but since the 370 headlights are not on the Morimoto site, there isn't much to find.

I looked at the F150 and C6 Corvette guides to try and figure out what it could be for. Those both use the fuse box instead of battery for their extra harness. Both list that it is for the daytime running light. Having that smaller plug disconnected is how they show it for the sequential turn signal. Connected is for standard blinking.

The extra harness is probably for the drl. I dont currently have both lights in and only tested the one Morimoto light with the headlights on, then high beam on and checked if blinker worked.

Just a few pics guys. Will try to do a better full review once I have a chance to align and test out.

Comment in YouTube video led me to “the retrofit source” website. They have the install guide

Those look good man! Someone in my area has them. I'll have to bother him when the quarantine is lifted.

admittedly I'm enjoying my hipsterism too much going back to 4500K HIDs (they look like halogens next to my WRX's OEM LEDs if we are honest)

Hopefully this works but I added some pictures of before, during and after the install. It was very straight forward and simple to do. The kit does come with a wiring harness that you do not need (at least I didn't).

The first video shows the turn signals with the connector in the back hooked up to where it is a solid turn signal and the second video I unplugged it to make it sequential. Overall satisfied with the lights and prefer them much more than the '09-'14 stock headlights.

Finished mine earlier today so no night shots yet.

The car is filthy as it seems to rain about every other day.

Also swapped to red center caps. Now I need to get to swapping out my brakes.

The headlights look super dope, gives the 370z a more modern look. Are they brighter then the stock HID's?

I had to use that harness to get the brighter DRL to work. That LED strip works dimmer when the lights are on, but the harness was needed when the lights are off for the DRL. I actually had the 6A fuse blow in that harness and noticed my DRL’s not working. Replaced the fuse and took it for another hour ride or so. Maybe that fuse was weak or something. I did have to use a 7.5A as I could not find a 6A at the auto store.

Also, I noticed in your video that with the sequential turn signal the first time the LED’s only goes 1/4 the way up. Mine does the same thing.

To clarify, the DRL you're talking about is the one built into the headlight, not the OEM DRL?

Correct, the Morimoto headlights have a DRL strip that’s very bright when the headlights are off. That’s what the additional harness is for. When the headlights turn on, that led strip, maybe another one in the same area, turns on and is a little less bright for nighttime.
