Knock on wood I kinda hope I have no issues with my set so I can stay with the neato clear reflectors.

I hope they make some variations of this. Or even a simple bi-LED conversion for the OEM housings. I just want the single projector. =(

Can replace the lenses now and there's lifetime UV treatments available.

I've got the wrinkle happening too. Guessing it was the sum of issues that warranted Taco's replacement, though. Regardless, seems like no guarantee yet that it's not going to happen on the next set.

Yeah, I don’t see anything with the new assemblies that would prevent this from happening again. From what I read about their Dodge Ram lights that did this was they put a lip over the projectors to block the sun. Ours seems to already have this. Expecting to have the same issue with this over the next several months.

Hi Taco.
How are the headlights doing after several months?
Any wrinkles issue?

Thanks

So far they are holding up well. However I do see a little wrinkling under the projector lenses again. I haven’t had any issues with the LED’s on this second set and the sequential turn signal is working better than my original set. But I think the wrinkling is going to happen to all.

this is why you don't spend $1000+ on some cheap aftermarket headlights that most likely the bulbs are gonna go out in 2-3 years if lucky. You'd be better off modifying the stock headlights and it will look 10x better like on the picture below.

I wouldn’t call morimoto cheap aftermarket. But they have a 5 year warranty on these and took care of me so far and replaced both headlights.

ONEighty uses 100% good quality. Been running the same halos for 2 years without a problem. Of course if you wanna go cheaper then you will have issues down the road.

One bulb dies or stops working then you gotta send the whole thing to them. They advertise 5+ years. Lets see if they live up to their word

Update:
I believe I have found the actual maker of the tails, a Taiwanese company called COPLUS.

Wish they redesigned where the reverse lights sit and offer different housing color options. Blackout doesn’t appeal to me.

EDIT
I realize these are a diff design than the TAS sample, but 78works posted an instagram pic of a demo car using the COPLUS design

You're correct, COPLUS is the maker of them. My Taiwanese buddy sent me info on them a few months back

I much prefer the TAS design over the COPLUS design, so I hope we have the option of either one
